Kimberly was still feeling hungry after Landon hijacked her food. To her, he did hijack her breakfast like a thief.
If he wasn’t going to eat it, why did he collect it from her? He should have just ignored her.
She needed to eat something. She walked out of her room heading to the kitchen again.
She got to the living room and saw Landon had finished eating all the pancakes and her mouth dropped open in shock.
“You ate them?” She asked and Landon looked at her with a straight face. He said no words but instead, walked to the couch and sat.
Kimberly turned to look at him with her mouth still opened slightly.
“you told me you had no appetite.” She stated angrily.
“And it came back. Any problems?” He asked with his straight face looking at her.
“That is so unfair. You ordered pizza already, you should have waited for them to get here. You didn’t have to eat my own breakfast.” She said looking at him.
“Actually the Pizza came already but I left it in the fridge. I lost my appetite for it and grew it for the pancakes.” Landon said.
He also felt he sounded stupid, but he just wanted to see her frown. It always gives her this flavor he doesn’t understand.
“I am taking that pizza and you are so not stopping me.” Kim muttered dashing to the fridge.
Landon wanted the same too, so he glared at her as she picked up the pizza box and she turned to look at him.
They both exchanged looks and Kim began to walk away with the pizza box.
“you have to know I would deduct the money for that pizza from your monthly wage.” Landon teased. He wanted to know what her response and reaction would be.
“Deduct it. I can’t starve myself in your mansion. So I would gladly let you deduct it.” She responded walking away.
Landon laughed softly at her speech. He doesn’t think she would ever stop being egocentric.
Kimberly got to her room, opened the pizza box and began to devour the pizza without thinking twice. She was way too hungry to start argue with Landon.
A message popped into her phone and she threw the last part of the pizza in her hand into her mouth. She picked up her phone and unlocked it.
She opened the massage and it happened to be Alexandra.
“Your father wants to see you. You need to come to the hospital.” He sent and she rolled her eyes.
“why is he the one telling me this?” she thought replying his message.
“Why are you the one telling me this? What about mother?” She replied and waited for Alex’s response.
“She doesn’t want to talk to you because she is pissed with you.” He replied and she sighed.
She should have guessed.
“Can you please tell Dad I will come to the hospital when I am chanced? I can’t just leave my job now because I just started. I promise to come as soon as possible.” She responded and bit her fingers waiting for his response.
She missed her father too. Her father is her favorite parent because he understands her more than her mother. It’s unfair of her not to have visited him since he fell ill, it’s not done.
“But I can’t go there with an empty pocket. It’s not done.” She mumbled to herself sadly.
“He said he wants to see you tomorrow. He wants to talk to you and doesn’t want to do it on phone.” Alex replied and after seeing this, Kim shut her eyes and bit her lower lip pretty hard.
“How do I face father without giving him some cash? Mother would so provoke me because of this. How do I tell Landon I would be taking a leave tomorrow when I just started?” She thought holding her hand.
She dropped her phone and began to think of a way to raise money, and also tell Landon she wouldn’t be around the next day.
“Why not ask him to pay you half of your salary now? And then you can work till the end of the month and then collect the other half.” She thought.
“No! I can’t go to Landon to beg him. That means I am lowering my standard.” She further thought shaking her head.
“But that means I won’t see father, and he would get mad.” She mumbled sighing heavily.
“Landon is the only option you have.” Her brain told her.
“Must he always be my only option?” She muttered breathing out with her mouth.
“For now. He is the only one that can save you from embarrassment.” Another side of her said and she rolled her eyes.
“Okay. I just need to be calm when I get to Landon. Act nice and don’t flare you.” She said to herself breathing in and out like she was doing Yoga.
She dropped the Pizza box on the bed and walked out of her room. Her heart kept beating fast, she was so nervous. She tried picturing Landon’s reaction when she tells him.
She got to the living room and saw Landon was busy on his phone. She fondled with her fingers nervously, she wasn’t sure about how to start the conversation.
She stood in front of him clearing her throat loudly so he could pay attention to her.
“what do you want this time?” Landon asked without raising his head. He kept his face glued to his phone.
“Can we talk please?” she asked and Landon puckered his brows.
“Did she just say please?” he thought. He knew instantly that something had happened which had to do with her family. She is meek only when it comes to her family.
“Go on.” He said willing to hear what went down this time.
“Can I please have a part payment of my salary?” She asked shutting her eyes and biting her lower lip.
“What?” Landon asked in shock.
“I really need it. If it’s not important, I won’t ask for it.” Kim said quickly.
“You are asking for part of your salary on the first day at work? On the first day you almost killed me, on the first day you have been acting so disrespectful. And you except me to give you part of your salary? How do you even know you would last up to a month in this house?” Landon asked and Kim felt very bad.
She knew this wouldn’t go well with Landon. But she can’t back down now, her father needs her and she has to be there for him even if it means begging Landon for help.
“My Father is sick Landon. He is dying in the hospital and I can’t just sit here and do nothing. It is because of him I am a maid, I can’t let that be a waste. Please I need your help this time.” Kimberly said and before she knew it, she began to weep.
Landon was shocked to hear her weep and he looked up. He saw the way tears rolled down her eyes and he became so uncomfortable about it.
“Stop crying.” He muttered looking away. He felt great pity for her.
“I can’t stop. It came out on it’s own so it has to stop on its own.” She stated and this made Landon smile.
She still acts cute when she is hurting.
“I would give you the money on only one condition.” Landon said and Kimberly looked at him. She was eager to hear his condition.
“which is?” She asked.
“You don’t think of leaving this mansion after working for a month. You stop working as my maid until I tell you to stop.” He declared and Kim glared at him.
“Those that mean I am stuck with him?” Kim thought but shuddered it away.
“Is that all?” She asked boldly.
“You don’t call me by my name anymore. It’s so disrespectful of you.” He muttered and Kim narrowed her gaze.
“So what do I call you?” She asked.
“Boss. I will manage that. “ He said and Kim bit her lower lip nodding.
“Okay.” She said nodding.
“Another thing. Stop trying to seduce me by biting your lower lip around me.” Landon said.
“What? Seduce you? Hold on. Don’t tell me it’s getting to you.” Kim said smiling wickedly.
“Hm, you wish.” Landon mumbled looking at his phone.
“So…” Kim said waiting for Landon to say something she would want to hear like, give me your account details, or go up to my room and bring my briefcase full of money.
“So, we sign an agreement.” He said and Kim’s mouth dropped open.
“An agreement? For what?” She asked unbelievably.
“To make sure you don’t go against all my conditions.” He said grinning and Kim scoffed looking away.
