After signing the paper, Kim kept thinking of a way to tell Landon she would be going to see her Dad. She glared at him for minutes until Landon noticed.

“What is it?” he asked when he noticed she started at him.

“One more thing.” She mumbled and Landon shot her a deadly look.

“what are you asking this time? My car or my house?” He asked and Kimberly scoffed.

“I don’t need you house or car. I need to go to see my dad today, so I want to ask for your permission before I leave.” Kim explained.

“Hold on. So you want me to let you go after I sent my money to you already? Am I that dumb?” He asked.

“C’mon, what do you mean? That I would run off with your money?” Kim asked unbelievably.

“It is the easiest thing you can do to stay away from me finally.” He responded and Kimberly sighed.

“I would never do that. I would never run, instead I face you and defeat you.” She said and Landon raised his brows at her statement.

“So, you want me to first give you half of your salary on your first day at work which I did. Now you take me as a fool and want me to let you go out? Seriously,” Landon stated.

“I am not running away with your money. I would never do that. My father wants to see me and that is why I borrowed the money in the first place. Can someone run away from you? You are everywhere so why are you scared?” Kim asked and Landon felt so full of himself hearing her say that.

“Where is your Dad?” He asked facing his phone.

“At the hospital,” Kim responded and Landon rose up his head to look at her.

“I can’t let you go all by yourself because I don’t trust you. And don’t think I am scared you would run off with the money. I would find you anywhere you go.” Landon stated proudly.

“so who is going with me?” Kim asked looking around.

“I am going with you.” Landon responded.

“What? It isn’t up to this. You can ask any of your workers to come with me. Must it be you?” Kim asked. She didn’t want Landon to see the state her family is.

She didn’t want him to hear the heartbreaking words her mother would say to her when she gets there. And who on earth would even let her boss go to see her family?

“I decide what I do in my own house, when it comes to my money okay?” Landon declared and Kim nodded.

“But I don’t want you to come with me.” Kim said and Landon furrowed his brows.

“and why is that?” he asked.

“I just feel it isn’t right. You are my boss and I am the maid, we can’t be seen going to my family members. It’s awkward.” Kim stated.

She used the boss and Maid line hoping Landon would give up and won’t go with her but she was actually wrong.

“You are right. I am your boss and you are my maid, so whatever I say to you is final. I am going with you and that is final.” He said and Kim swallowed hard.

She knew he had decided already she could waste no more time trying to convince him.

“Okay. Let thine will be done.” She said dramatically. She kept glaring at Landon and waited for him to speak up.

“Are you done? When are you leaving?” he asked without raising his head to look at her.

“I am leaving now. I need to change my outfit, I can’t wear this uniform to see them.” Kim said looking at the uniform she wore.

“Whatever. Go get dressed.” He said and I narrowed my gaze.

“what about you? Won’t you change from these?” Kim asked pointing at his outfit.

“Why should I? I am not going as your fiancée, so why do I have to change my clothes?” Landon asked and Kim sighed.

“You are going as my boss, would you were a casual round neck top and jean trousers?” Kim asked.

“Yes I would. This isn’t a business meeting, you can’t expect me to wear a blazers because I am watching my Maid.” Landon said and Kim sighed.

“Fine. I would change now.” Kim stated walking away. She got to her room and she picked up the gown she wore for the interview.

As a matter of fact, she had no other dress apart from that, since Landon wouldn’t let her go home and pack some stuffs.

She got rid of the tight and small uniform breathing out in relieve as it came off. She wore the dress in haste and picked up her shoe.

Landon walked to his room and took the money I had used to test Kim. He was going to give her all of it, but not in a way she would ever think he cares.

“I don’t actually care though.” He thought putting it in his jean pockets.

He felt satisfied with what he wore, and he couldn’t think of changing it because he didn’t want Kim to feel she asked him to do something and he did. So he just combed his hair and walked out of the room.

He got to the living room and he met Kim standing in the gown she wore for the interview.

“Why are you wearing that? Didn’t you sweat on it?” Landon said making a disgusted face.

“You should be the last person to complain. You didn’t let me pick up my clothes at home.” Kim muttered in frustration.

“You can’t sit in my car with that gown. It is probably stinking right now.” Landon mumbled and Kim’s eyes widened.

“I didn’t plan on sitting in your car. I was going to take a cab.” She said and Landon arched his brows.

“So you expect me to get into a cab with you?” Landon asked.

“You insisted you want to follow me. I should be the one to worry about how you follow me.” Kim said boldly and Landon scoffed.

“You are changing that dress. You can’t wear that into my car.” He said sitting on the couch.

“but I can’t get a dress now, there are no dresses in the closet.” Kim mumbled.

“Then order one,” Landon stated already ordering one on his phone.

“I don’t have money for that. The money I borrowed is for my father’s bill and it is not even enough. I can’t buy a dress from it. Let me just go, I promise to be back soon. Plant a microchip in my body to track me if possible.” Kim said out of frustration and Landon fought the urge to laugh.

He knew how frustrated she was but he knew exactly what he was doing.

“You are not going anywhere until you get your dress changed Kimberly. “ Landon said and she looked at him.

He had never called her name like that before. It sounded weird in her ears.

“But…” She said and Landon rose his hand cutting her short.

“Sit down.” He commanded looking at his phone.

Kim felt so angry and sat looking at Landon. She was beginning to regret she even asked him for some money.

“I hate him.” She cursed underneath her breath and Landon smiled as he heard her say.
