A year later

“Mom, where is Davis? I need to get him ready, he will be coming with me to pick Allison up,” Thea spoke as she prepared tea.

“He should be in his room,” Mrs. Robert replied

She held a mug and walked to the living room, she stepped on a toy and almost fell.

“Nora!” She called and a maid rushed towards her. “Why are Davis toys here?” Thea questioned and gave her mom the mug.

“I… I… Was going to…” She stuttered. “Take them to his room,” she ordered and walked back to the dining table.

“Mommy!” Davis babbled as he ran towards Thea. “Son,” she smiled and carried him.

“You look handsome every day,” she said and peck his cheeks, he wiggles in her arms as he laughed.

“Are you excited to meet your aunt Allison?” Thea asked while Davis laughed. Allison had a break so he is visiting with Sol, the last time they came was when Thea birthed Davis.

It has been a wonderful year, Davis is now a year and a half old. He looks so handsome and he kept looking better every day.

“He has eaten, right?” Thea asked Nora who stood close to her. “Yea,” she answered.

“Take him, I will just go and have my bath,” Thea said and tried to give Davis to Nora but the cunning boy held her blouse.

“I have to bath Davis, don’t I stink?” She asked but the boy was not ready to let go.

“Look, aunt Nora is going to read you a story aren’t you excited?” She asked but the boy only moved closer to her, he rested his head on her chest.

She is a mommy, bath or no bath mommies are always beautiful. He is going to hold onto her no matter what.

“Oh, our baby doesn’t want a story, will you watch cartoons? Yeah, let us watch cartoons,” Thea suggested.

“Umm,” he protested and wrapped his arm around her. “Davis, this isn’t good. Aunt Allison is going to be mad at us, then she will punish us do you want to get punished?” She asked but got no response.

“Fine, let’s stay with grandma,” she said and motioned Nora to leave. Thea sat beside Mrs. Robert who dropped her cup of coffee getting ready to have Davis in her arm.

“Davis,” Mrs. Robert sang and he turned to look at her with a smile, showing his four teeth.

“Will you have tea?” Mrs. Robert asked with her hands open, he jumped into her arms and Allison breathed in relief.

“You are one naughty boy,” Thea poke his nose and he giggled. “Quickly go and have a bath,” Mrs. Robert suggested and she peck Davis’s cheeks before standing up.

Davis has been her world, she got her job back at the broadcasting station. She no longer speaks on the radio but Tv, and she has become prettier too.

Davis hangs out at Mavis’s place with Vin and Victor every Sunday, if he can’t be with his father she shouldn’t deny him the opportunity of spending time with his uncle.

Vin has been a great friend to Thea, Mavis is a good godmother too. Thea heard Chloe had a baby girl, she was happy for her.

Life had different plans for her, it might not have been what she planned but it was not that bad either.

She has a good job, a perfect son, a great and loving mother, and a supportive friend. Why would she want anything else?

She is grateful for all has, she knows she is going to face more challenges in the future but everything is going to be fine.

“Mummy,” Davis cried into the room, Thea was trying to pack her hair when he ran inside in tears.

“Why is my prince in tears?” She asked as she carried him. “Gadma,” he reported.

“Grandma?” She asked. “Gradma,” he cried again.

“Mom, what happened?” Thea asked as she walked out of the room with Davis in her arm.

“He wanted to play with my earring but I didn’t let him,” Mrs. Robert inquired.

“Oh, you can play with mine,” Thea said showing him her earring but that was not what he wanted.

Thea’s earring was small while Mrs. Robert’s earring was long, why would he want something so small?

“Nooo,” he cried in protest. “I will get you to ice cream later,” she assured but he still won’t listen.

“When did you become so spoiled?” Thea wondered but Davis was not ready to give heed to an explanation.

“Mommy… Gadma,” he reported beating Thea’s breast. “Guess what, your buddy Sol is coming with a gift, you like gifts right?” She asked and he nodded.

“Good boy,” she smiled. “Bye mom, say bye to Grandma Davis,” Thea said waving her hand in the demonstration.

Davis did the same and Mrs. Robert waved back, Thea picked up the car keys and walked out of the house.

Chloe was forcefully trying to feed Mitchell, but she wouldn’t take the food.

She cried instead trying to get out of Chloe’s grip. “Why is she crying?” Cisco inquired as he walked down the stairs.

“She doesn’t want me to feed her, she does this all the time,” Chloe complained.

“Daddy,” she cried stretching her little hands for Cisco to carry her, Cisco gave in to her request and carried her.

“It’s fine princess, you should stop crying,” Cisco cooed wiping her tears. “Food,” she pointed at the plate on the table.

“Why is she refusing to eat when she is hungry, she is unbelievable,” Chloe scoffed and stood up.

Mitchell likes it when Cisco feeds her, and yes a paternity test was done and the result was positive.

Cisco felt weird at first but with time he loved the kid and everyone knew he was her favorite ever since she was a baby.

She is the same age as Davis, Chloe had complications during pregnancy so she gave birth a month earlier.

“It tastes yummy, doesn’t it?” Cisco asks as he fed her. “Yummy,” she repeated with excitement.

“I am happy you like it,” Cisco smiled. “How long are you going to do this? What if you aren’t around?” Chloe asked as she watched Mitchell eat with a smile.

“I am always going to be around,” he replied. “I am going to be in her room,” Chloe informed and walked away.

Chloe was against a nanny after what happened with Fiona, she took care of Mitchell herself it was easy since she was jobless.

“Why don’t you want mommy to feed you?” Cisco asked the little girl. “Daddy,” she called with a smile, and Cisco pecked her forehead.

“You are my world princess and I will always love you,” he assured and hugged her.

He loved spending time with her, it feels like she is all he has. His work revolves around her.

Cisco was done feeding her and the maid came to clear the table. He switched the channel to a cartoon series and placed Mitchell on the couch.

He was about to leave when his phone rang, it was his mom he knew what she wanted.

She loves Mitchell just as much as she loved her other grandchildren, Octavia had a boy and Vin named him Nathan.

He is a year old too and he looks a lot like Greg.

“Good morning mom,” Cisco greeted. “Morning, is my granddaughter with you?” Mrs. King asked and Cisco glanced at Mitchell who clapped her hand in rhythm to the song playing on TV.

“Yes,” he replied. “Can she visit us today? Nathan is here with Flora, it would be nice to have her too,” she said.

“I will bring her later,” he assured. “Tell her I love her,” she said before hanging up.

“Mitchell, will you like to see your cousins?” He asked but she was too immersed in the show to give him a reply.

“Fine we are visiting Grandma later,” he said and pat her hair.

A few minutes later Cisco walked downstairs and met Mitchell dancing in front of the TV, he smiled as he went to get his car key.

“Let’s go, my love,” he said and carried her. “Where are you going?” Chloe’s voice stopped him.

“To mom’s place, she wants to see Mitchell,” he replied.

“Allison!” Thea yell as she rushed toward her with Davis in her arms, Thea dropped Davis and hugged Allison.

“I missed you,” Allison said as they hugged tighter. “I missed you too, you look prettier,” Thea compliments after they disengage.

“Davis!” Sol called with great excitement and tried to carry him but he held until Thea’s leg and hid his face from Sol.

“Why is he hiding?” Sol asked Thea. “I guess he doesn’t remember you,” Allison replied.
