“Your mom?” Chloe asked as if she didn’t get him right the first time. “Yes, Flora and Nathan are their mom wants Mitchell to hang out too,” Cisco answered despite being unnecessary.

“Why does she need to hang out with them?” She questioned. “What are you talking about? She is going to play with her cousins and her grandma, why don’t you want that?” He questioned.

“I want to play with her too, I hardly have time with her because she is either with you or at their place, she is my daughter for crying out loud,” she snapped.

“What are you talking about? You have enough time with Mitchell, you bathe her, you dress for her, you put her to sleep most times what more time do you want to spend with her?” Cisco questioned.

Chloe doesn’t like it when Mitchell leaves the house, she wants her to be around her all the time.

“But Cisco….” She tried to complain but there is nothing he is going to listen to.

“She is spending time with her family, not strangers,” he reminded her.

“Those families didn’t welcome me when I was pregnant with her,” she stated with her arms folded under her breast.

“They still don’t accept you and neither do I, I am doing this for Mitchell so don’t make it hard than it already is,” he warned and left the mansion.

Chloe stomp her feet on the ground angrily, how long was she going to endure everything? How long is she going to compete with Thea who is long gone?

What would she have done if Mitchell didn’t come along? Cisco would have thrown her out of the house and the child happens to love him more than her.

It would have been great if they were on good terms, she roughed her hair as the thought of them spending time together cross her mind.

“Why would they spend time with the daughter when they dislike the mother?” She questioned no one in particular.

Sol tries to touch Davis throughout the ride but he cried instead, Sol was frustrated.

He did everything possible to get his attention but the boy enjoyed his company better than anyone except his mother.

“Let him be Sol, he will get acquainted with time,” Allison assured. “I don’t have all the time in the world, I am his best friend he should remember me. Is something wrong with his brain?” He wondered.

“Mind your choice of words Sol, my son is fine he was barely a month old the last time you visited. How could you possibly expect him to remember you?” Thea asked

“He was tiny and humble then but now he is big and pompous,” he complained and stared away angrily.

Allison and Thea couldn’t help their laughter.

“I am going to give your gift to charity if you don’t let me touch you,” Sol threatened and Davis finally turned to face him.

“See he is scared,” he said moving closer, just as he was close enough Davis got a handful of his hair.

“Help!” Sol screamed while Davis laughed, he enjoyed torturing Sol.

“Get him off me, he is strong,” Sol cried for helo while Allison and Thea simply laughed

Chloe waited Impatiently for Cisco in the living room, it was almost ten pm but he wasn’t back.

She wanted to apologize for her behavior if not she would have gone to bed, she was pretty sure Mitchell would be asleep since it was past her bedtime.

She rushed outside when she heard a car zoom in, she stood by the entrance while Cisco stepped out of the car.

He locked the car afterward which confused Chloe, why isn’t he taking Mitchell out?

“Hey, you are awake,” he said as he walked closer to her but her gaze was fixed on the car.

“Why isn’t Mitchell with you?” She questioned. “She is spending the night at mom’s,” he replied.

“Why?” She queried. “She fell asleep quite early, mom thought it was best I let her be,” he replied.

“I want my daughter back!” She demanded. “No one is taking your daughter away, she is spending the….”

Chloe cut in. “I don’t care, you told me she was just going to have fun but now she is spending the night? I want her home, let’s go and get her,” she demanded.

“Well it’s late, you are free to go alone,” he gave her the car keys and walked inside.

“This is unacceptable, how can you leave my daughter behind?” Chloe questioned no one as she stared at the car.

She felt tears prick her eyes as she badly wants her daughter back.

“We don’t have enough groceries,” Allison complained as she tried to cook but the ingredients were not enough.

“What are you gonna do?” Sol asked with a sad pout, he is hungry but food can’t be prepared yet.

“I will go and get something,” Mrs. Robert volunteered, Allison would have gone but Thea moved after she left so she is not too familiar with the environment

And it isn’t the best idea for a celebrity to roam around the city, one could get attacked by the swamp of fans.

“You don’t have to I am taking Davis to Mavis, I will get groceries on my way back,” she said and dropped a pack of biscuits.

“Have this so you don’t die of hunger,” Thea said to Sol.

“Why are you taking my best friend to aunt Mavis? I just got back yesterday, I want to spend more time with him,” he protested.

“I am sorry, but he spends his Sunday at Mavis. That is the only way he can spend time with his uncle,” Thea replied.

“Why does everyone want to spend time with my best friend? Are they secretly trying to separate us?” He asked.

“Don’t worry dear, he will be back before you notice,” Mrs. Robert assured him.

“Bye,” Thea waved and walked out of the house to meet Davis running after a dog, he was with Nora.

Nora was trying to catch up with him too, he was so energetic.

“I wonder if his dad was like this,” Thea mumbled to herself. “What am I talking about? Why will I think about him,” she scolded herself.

“Davis!” She called out to him and he stopped. “Mommy!” He screamed and turned back he ran towards Thea instead.

“Nora are you alright?” Thea questioned Nora who was breathing heavily. “No ma’am your son is so happy and full of energy today,” she complained breathing heavily.

Thea carried David who already got to her.

“No, I think you are tired. Allison and mom will take care of things, you should rest,” Thea said.

“Thank you ma,” she appreciated sincerely before rushing inside. “Seems like you caused trouble, Nora Is exhausted thanks to you,” Thea pinched his nose and he giggled.

“We are going to visit uncle Vin and aunt Mavis, are you excited?” Thea asked and stated away playing with his fingers

“I will take that as a yes,” she replied and walked towards the car, she dropped him in his seat before getting to the driver’s seat.

Thea hummed a song while Davis played with his toys as she drove, Thea stopped by a grocery store and carries Davis.

He walked beside her while she shopped and she was careful he didn’t run off, well not until she had received a call

“Where is my godson?” Mavis questioned. “He is on his way,” Thea replied.

“Make sure he has an appetite because I prepared all sorts of things,” Thea heard Vin’s voice from the background.

“Sure, we will be there soon,” Thea replied and hung up. “Did you hear th…..” Thea trailed off when she could not find the boy

“Davis!” Her eyes widened. “Davis!” She called in fear as she searched for him.

“Excuse me have you seen a little boy, he Is a year old he is about this tall,” Thea described to a customer but the lady shook her head sideways.

“What am I going to do? Davis where are you!?” She screamed as she roamed the store.

She rushed to the counter and spoke to the lady. “My son is missing he Is a year old, he was with me a few minutes ago he must have rushed off or something….”

Thea was still reporting to the lady when a voice asked.

“Are you looking for him?”

She turned around to find Davis licking ice cream with a little girl around his age.

“Davis,” she called with so much happiness but he ignored her, enjoying the ice cream.

Thea raised her head to appreciate the lifesaver who found her son, it was someone she never thought she’d run into.

“Francisco,” she gasped. “Thea,” he was equally shocked.

Hearing his mother’s name, Davis raised his head and withdraw his hand from Cisco’s.

“Mommy,” he called and ran into her arms. Cisco glanced at the boy then Thea, he repeated.

“Mommy?”.
