JERICHO’S WEAKNESS Episode 14

Prologue✍️

Luckily for Valerie, her car was still safe and intact by the time she got back to the bridge and without further hesitation, she got in and drove home.

“Valerie, where have you been? I’ve been so worried about you” her father said as soon as she stepped into the room.

“I’m fine dad. Good evening, mum” she mumbled and tried taking the stairs.
She was so angry and tired.

“Hold on Valerie,” her father called back her attention. “A doctor was here a while ago and he was ready to carry out some tests on your face. He kept waiting, but you didn’t…”

“Forget about doctors, dad” Valerie cut in with a sigh. “This isn’t a medical case” .

“Huh? What’re you talking about, honey?” Mrs Waltson asked, having a muddled look on.

“Just continue with the birthday preparations for now, while I work on getting back my face” she answered and finally took the stairs, headed to her room.

No matter what, she was gonna make sure she gets her beauty back before her birthday. Yes – definitely.

The next morning, Valerie’s sound sleep was disrupted by the sound of her phone ringing.

She groaned and turned sleepily on the bed and her eyes caught the sight of the wall clock. Huh? It was just 6:15. Who was calling her by this time?

She reached for the phone and took a look. Hah! Jericho!

She sat up immediately and picked the call.

“H…hello?” Her voice was more confident than she looked.

“Come to the mansion in less than 30 minutes” his grumpy voice replied and she flinched.

“Huh? I don’t understand. This is just…”
There was a beep and next, the call ended.

“Whst the heck?” She scoffed and hit the phone on the bed

Dammit!

She brushed her fingers into her hair, feeling so frustrated. Why does this guy have to be a jerk, huh? What did she ever do to deserve this?

She ruffled her hair and having no other choice, left the bed for the bathroom.

In less than 20 minutes, she was done and stood with her bag. She still had some time left, right? Gosh! She didn’t even take breakfast and was damn hungry.

“It’s only for a few days, Valerie” she assured herself and left the room.

Getting to the garage, she picked one of her favorite cars and drove off.

On her way, she drove pass the ice creams and her eyes scoured around for the strange woman – the whatever seer – but she wasn’t there at her usual spot.

Perhaps… she was only available during the night.

She looked away and focused on the road.

She hunned in front of the gate and it took the God-forsaken gateman forever to let her in.

She glared hard at him from the mirror as she drove in and found a suitable place to park.

She opened the door, stepped out with her bag and started walking towards the house immediately immediately.

She knocked on the door and after a few seconds, Klaus opened up.

“Hey, beautiful” he smiled warmly at her. “You’re here already”

“Yeah. Jericho called for me” she said derogatorily and Klaus ushered her into the house.

“You should know the way to his room, right? He’s there” Klaus sajd and tried walking away, but Valerie stopped him.

“Please…” Her voice was desperate. “since…you all are one, you should have the ability to remove these spots, right? Please, could you do it for me? I promise to pay whatever you want”.

Klaus looked at her and chuckled.

“I’m sorry, hot legs, but Jericho’s the only one that can undo it since he’s responsible for it” he winked at her and left, leaving Valerie in frustration.

She sighed and turned towards the stairs, and there she found Jericho, staring coldly at her.
