“Argh!!” Valerie screamed as she crashed to the floor, her waist hitting hard on it

Oh, goodness!

She remained still on the floor and couldn’t move as she felt every bone in her body become broken.

Jericho… He wants to kill her! He actually wants to kill her!
Good lord!

Jericho stood up from the floor immediately, feeling a light headache due to the interruption. Damn it! Why did she have to come in at the wrong time?

He walked to Valerie on the floor and just stood, staring at her.

“Help me… Please” she managed to stretch out her hand to him.

Jericho still felt a little angry because she had interrupted his special moment. Normally, he’d have killed her for what she did. But somehow, she’s lucky.

He dropped to a crouch beside her and lifted her from the floor, taking her to the bed.

“When you called and I didn’t respond, you should have just let me be’ he said icily, but Valerie couldn’t even reply.
Her waist was hurting like hell.

He made her sit on the bed, then crouched in front of her. And in that position, he held her leg and started massaging it slowly.

Valerie felt a little pain as he worked on the leg, but by bit, she felt the pains dying down. And not just on her legs, but going to her waist as well.

She started taking in deep breaths, trying to ease herself and in no time, she was feeling really better.

“Well, I just wanted to be sure you were fine. You were hardly breathing” she finally found her tongue.

“And why should you care?’ his tone was still flat.

“Because I still need you to take these spots off my face. After that, you can die for all I care” Valerie replied and he shot her a glare.

Well, that was the truth.

He stood up and walked away from her.
“But what were you doing anyway?” Valerie wanted to ask, but quickly restricted herself.
She knew it was only going to be a waste of time.

She stood up as well and went ahead to pick her bag from the floor. Damn it! Her phone’s screen was broken – just a little crack on it.

“I need breakfast” Jericho suddenly said. “Just go to the kitchen and make anything for me to eat.

Valerie finally settled on frying some chips and eggs. At least, that was the easiet she could do.

While she was in the process, Klaus walked in.

“Hey” he beamed.
“Now, I get where the aroma is coming from. You handling the kitchen again?”. He asked as he stood next to her and took a slice from the plate.

“Yes. Good morning” Valerie answered cursorily.

“Hmm. So much to regain tour beauty, huh?” She chuckled. “Well, you’re actually lucky Jericho’a giving you an opportunity to make an attempt. By the way, I think the chips are great”.

Valerie shot him a stare and muttered; “Thank you”.
Then, she went ahead to beat the eggs.

Klaus took more chips from the plate and Valerie feared he might end up consuming every single thing.

“Please, that’s enough” she took the plate away from him. “It’s for Jericho and I wouldn’t want him getting mad at me” she said and Klaus just shurgged and ate the last chips in his hand.

“That’s kind of greedy, anyways” he scoffed. “But what to do? Anyway, I’ve been meaning to aak – what would you do if… you’re unable to complete your task before your party? How will you cope with the spots?”

Valerie felt some chills run through her spine. That same question’s been hitting hard at her for sometime.

“That’s not gonna happen” sbe replied. “I’ll make sure these spots are off before the party’.

“Then, I’d suggest you have s.ex with him because that’s the quickest way. You…”

“I’m not doing it” she almost snapped, and Klaus chuckled.

“As you wish, dear. But you aren’t the only one in a hurry. Jericho also has a limited time here” Klaus said and Valerie looked at him immediately.
Huh? What’s he talking about?

He reached for the plate again and took out some slices of chips and Valerie couldn’t complain.

“Take care, doll” he winked at her and left.

Hours Later…

Jericho was going out and he had asked Valerie to accompany him.

He dressed a little casually and it made Valerie relieved as she hoped they weren’t going to a busy place because she hated walking around with her face in that form.

“The chips were a little salty” Jericho said as he drove the car and Valerie looked at him, surprised he was actually just talking about the meal – a meal he’s eaten for hours now.

“Really? But Klaus told me it was okay” she scoffed.

“You gave my meal to Klaus?” Jericho rose a brow at her and she almost rolled her eyes.

“I didn’t, Okay? He just… he just stepped in when I was frying and took some from the plate”.

Some seconds passed.

“Well, the meal was indeed salty. I never said it wasn’t nice. How’s your boyfriend anyway?” He asked and Valerie’s countenance dropped immediately.
Did he really have to bring that up?

She stared down at her legs and didn’t reply, the pains niggling at her again.

“Oh… bad moment” Jericho whistled.

He pulled the car to a stop and Valerie sniffed and looked up to discover they were in front of a bar.

A bar?? He’s coming to a bar?? What’s with him and bars, huh?

“Get out” he told her as he opened the door and stepped out from his side.

Valerie exhaled and also came out from hers. But as soon her legs hit the floor, she saw him again – the guy she had seen staring at Jericho’s house.
But this time around, he was on a motorcycle.

She looked at Jericho who was looking into his phone, her eyes went back to the guy.

His hand went into his pocket, brought out soemthing like a gun. It wasn’t a gun, but looked like a gun.

Everything happened so fast and within the twinkle of an eye, he shot at Jericho.

No.

Valerie’s eyes widened in shock as it seemed just like magic to her.

“Jericho!!!” She screamed in fright as he reached for the floor.
