JERICHO’S WEAKNESS Episode 29

Prologue✍️

Mrs Waltson was so worried as she climbed down the stairs with her phone.

Her face was crumpled up unpleasantly and her eyes went to the wall clock again. Goodness! It was past eleven already. Where the hell was her daughter?? Valerie has never stayed out that late before.

She dialled her number for the 7th time, but just like before, it still wasn’t connecting.

“What is wrong with you, Valerie?” She asked, feeling worriedly angry that Valerie would make her panick that way.

She decided to call Sally since they were close friends. The line connected and Mrs Waltson exhaled deeply when Sally picked the call.

“Mrs Waltson…”

“Oh! Thank God you picked, Sally. Please, where’s your friend? Where’s Valerie?” She asked and Sally couldn’t help but be surprised.
She was asking after Valerie at that time?

“I… I don’t know, Mrs Waltson. I haven’t seen Valerie today. We only talked on phone” Sally replied truthfully.

“Seriously? Then, where could she be? I’ve been trying to call her, but her line isn’t connecting. What’s happening Sally? Do you have any idea at all?” Mrs Waltson asked worriedly.

Sally searched her mind for any possible answer, but could hardly find one.

Valerie didn’t tell her she’d be going anywhere. And even if she did, Valerie was never the type to stay out late at night.

She knew she couldn’t be with Jericho either because first, Jericho was ill. And secondly, Ethan’s warned her never to go close to him else, he’d kill her. She knew Valerie wouldn’t make the mistake of going over to the house. So, where could she be?

“Sally?” Mrs Waltson called when she was taking so long to reply.

“Mrs Waltson I…” She paused and sighed. “I’m sorry, but I really don’t have any idea”.

Mrs Waltson ended the call immediately and decided to call Lincoln. Although, she felt Valerie and Lincoln were having some little issues, she still decided to give it a try. Who knows? they’d probably settled and were together at the moment.

But when she placed the call, a lady was the one that picked up.

“Hello? Who’s this?” The lady asked possessively.
Somehow, she sounded so familiar.

“I’m… I’m looking for Lincoln” Mrs Waltson said.

“Oh! Baby, someone’s calling!” The lady said and Mrs Waltson flinched.
Hold on, baby? Lincoln?

She felt so disgusted and just ended the call.

Goodness! Valerie, where the hell are you??

Valerie’s hands shook terribly as she undressed, her heart raced so heavily and fearfully.

What was he going to do to her? Why else would he ask her to undress?

Oh God! Soemthing she couldn’t even do for Jericho to get back her beauty, now she has to do it for a total stranger? She’d never be able to live with the memory.

She succeeded in taking off her shirt and it brought her down to just her bra, but she couldn’t take it off.

“Do it” Derek said gruffly, bringing the knife closer to her chest.

“Please…” She whimpered helplessly. “I don’t wanna do this” .

Immediately, Derek slapped her hard across the cheek again and she almost fell on the floor, but he was quick enough to hold her by the hair and pulled her up.

“Proving stubborn would only cause you more trouble, Miss Valerie” he said wickedly as he dragged her towards the bed and pushed her to roughly on it.

Valerie felt the room suddenly become too hot for her as she sweated profusely, almost unable to breathe.

“Please…” Was all she could say as she crawled backwards towards the bed.

“Please…”

Derek got on top of the bed and pulled her by the leg so she’d lie on her back. Then, he spread her legs apart and got in between.

“Ah!” Valerie shrieked, seeing the position he was taking.
Oh God! What has she done to deserve this, huh?

“Let me go! Let me go! Please!!” She cried and struggled with him and unexpectedly, he used the knife in his hand to stab her on her arm.

“Arghhh!!” She let out an agonizing cry as she felt blood ooze from the cut.

She wanted to lift her other hand to hold the bleeding one, but Derek stopped her.

“No!! Please!!” She cried pathetically.

Derek pinned her both hands above her head, not minding the fact that the other was hurting her pretty bad

“I’d love to hurt you so much, Valerie” he gritted. “So, keep giving me the opportunity to do so”.

And with one drag, he pulled her bra down from her chest.
