JERICHO’S WEAKNESS Episode 7

Prologue✍️

Sally wanted so badly to believe she didn’t hear Valerie properly.
Of course, not. She must be kidding her.

“Okay, Valerie. If this is some sort of new madness, then you better quit it. What’s wrong with you?” She scoffed as Valerie continued driving.

“Which way do I go, Sally? Am I going the right way?” She asked regardless.

“Valerie…!”

“Shut up, Sally and direct me! Please…”

A few seconds of silence passed and Valerie stopped the car.

“Seriously?” She scoffed. “This is the best way you can help me?”

“Valerie…”

“I’m in a big mess, Sally” her voice cracked up. “You probably might not know how it feels but I’m in a really big mess. You should know me, Sally, my skin is my life and seeing this being done to my face, I can’t even breathe”.

She placed her head on the sterling and sobbed.

“So please, if you have even the slightest opportunity to help me, please Sally don’t hesitate. Please”. She added with her head still on the sterling and that was enough to tame Sally’s heart.

She sighed and helped her up from the sterling.

“Come on. Take the um…the left turn”. She said and Valerie’s eyes beamed.

Without hesitation, she started the car and in no time, they were back on the road.

It was a long ride as Sally kept directing her and finally. It was kind of a little difficult, but at last, they did it. They got there.

“Are you sure…this is it?” Valerie asked as she stared at the ineffable building in front of her.
They were still seated in the car.

“Of course, Val. Who doesn’t know the B-Boys Mansion?” Sally replied.

They hesitated a little and Sally could tell her friend was a little nervous.

“You can stay here. I’ll go alone” Valerie said as she opened the door and stepped out, but Sally stepped down with her as well..

“Sally…”

“Seriously, Val, you think I’m really gonna let you walk in there alone? I know you’re crazy and I need to be there to calm you down”.

Valerie rolled her eyes and started walking towards the big black gate with Sally behind her.

They got to the gate and Valerie gave a hard knock.

If it wasn’t for her current situation, she’d have broadly admired the beauty of this house.

There was no reply, and they knocked again.

“Do you think they have securities?” She turned to Sally and asked, wondering why no one was opening the gate.

And Sally was about giving her a reply when the gate opened and someone showed up – a young man dressed in a security uniform.

“Yes? How can I help you?” He asked grumpily, taking a good look at the two ladies.

“Are the B-Boys home?” Sally asked and the man looked at them suspiciously.

“Why asking? Is there a problem?”

“Just answer the question, will you?” Valerie rolled her eyes.

“Well, they’re in but….”

Before he could finish up, she pushed him and forced her way into the gate.

“Hey! What’re you doing..?” The security didn’t have enough time to stop her as Valerie had taken him unaware.

She stepped in and looked around.

“Hey! You can’t just barge in like. Ma’am…” He got hold of her hand, but Valerie wasn’t looking at him as she had spotted some people at the veranda.
Shouldn’t that be them?

“Hey, Ma’am..Step outside, please. You’ll make me lose my job” the security pleaded, but Valerie didn’t pay attention to him.

Sally had also found her way in as well.

The B-boys – Klaus and Ethan – were seated at the cool veranda, drinking and laughing over the internet when they noticed some movement at the gate. They looked and discovered a young lady, struggling with the gateman.

“Who’s that?” Klaus mumbled to himself.

Valerie looked properly and discovered they were just two boys there, not three.

“Ma’am…” Let me go!” She rasped at the security and pushed him off as hard as she could so she could be free from his grasp.

And with that, she marched towards the direction the boys were seated.

The sparkling beauty and richness of the mansion was trying to mess with her head, but hell no, she couldn’t give in to them.

Ethan and Klaus watched quietly and curiously at the same time as she got to where they were, another lady behind her.

Valerie looked into their faces but couldn’t recognize either of them as Jericho – the guy she had offended. Why wasn’t her there with them?

“Wow” Klaus scoffed. “First of all, I’d say you look really familiar but… the spots on your face is kinda making me confused”
He chuckled and Valerie felt her cheeks getting hot.

“But that aside, seriously, what’re you doing here? And why the invading entrance?” He went ahead and Valerie got herself ready to explode.

“I’m looking for your friend, brother, or whatever he is to you” she shook her head. “I need him to get these black spots off my face!”

“Woah.. Jericho?” Klaus scoffed.
Ethan was still watching silently.

“Hold on… Jericho did this to you?” He almost laughed, but Valerie didn’t respond.
Her heart was tearing up with anger.

“Wow! I must say, girl, it’s really gonna be a bad journey for you” he said and Valerie’s jaws dropped.

Why the hell do they keep saying that to her??

“I don’t care. Where is he?” She half yelled.

“Jericho isn’t home. Get out of here” Ethan suddenly said for the first time and Valerie looked at him.
What?

“He ..he isn’t home? So, where is he? Why are you lying to me?”

“It isn’t a lie,pretty but ugly. Jericho isn’t home and won’t be coming anytime soon. So, you might just have to go and return in the morning” Klaus answered and Valerie felt her stomach rumbling.

Return the following morning? So, she’d be going to bed in this condition?

Her heart raced heavily.

“How am I sure you’re not lying to me?” She looked at them and asked.

“Because if you stay here for 40 more seconds, I’ll make sure you don’t exist on earth anymore” Ethan was the one who replied and Valerie’s heart skipped.

What??

His eyes, voice…they were filled with so much darkness.

She swallowed hard and looked at the one who seemed cooler.

“Fine. I’ll be leaving now. But first thing in the morning, I’m back here. And make sure your Jericho’s ready for me by then” she stated bluntly and walked away.
