I got pushed like a cheap vegetable,
the securities that came out got much it was that moment I realised how important he is.

but he was so rude.. good for him.
that’s what always happen to rude people so good for him.I thought happily until when I heard one of the securities referring to him as “highness”.

umm they even bowed,
a guard collected the car key in his hand, even the phone and file he was holding.

seems my heart is a trouble lover, when will I stop making troubles for my father? I always give him reasons to see female children as useless.

I tried running away from the trouble i caused,one of the guards dragged me back roughly till I fell on the floor then two guards made me stand well.

more securities came out from different sides both men and women in black outfits..I spot my father among the securities,
I felt bad he already wore a disappointed look.
is trouble made to locate me?.

“I didn’t…I didn’t…do anything-
I startled,no one gave me a listening ears.My father didn’t even look at my side.

“are you okay my prince?”they asked him.He didn’t talk rather he just used his finger to brush the stew stain as he rolled his eyes in anger,
I also stared back with my innocent look until one of the guards tried wiping me.

“how can this common girl be so careless, someone take her to the torturing room”a,man said..then two guards came to my side,
ready to take me to the torturing yard where I would serve punishment.
I got scared,
I looked well,the prince I wounded wasn’t there anymore.
he doesn’t really care.

“you would stay in the torturing room for 3hours,punishment for your carelessness”one of the officers said
I couldn’t talk because the guards were already dragging me.
another came to tie my hands.
cheta are you really born to suffer.

they were about pushing me in when a man whom I recognize as a royal adviser came.
“let her go”the man said.
“hunn she committed too much…what do you mean by letting her go”a girl asked personally.

“the royal families do not need another scandal of female on their head again…this girl might die in the process of the torture,the case of ozioma just got finalize and you want to start another one”the man said,
they girls untie me.

I got happy and ran till I got to the pool side,it was really pretty as the pool water was ethereal blue.

“don’t be too happy,a greater punishment awaits you”the man said

somehow I was happy the soup poured on the rude sperm,
the only thing that made me sad was that my father witnessed it.

“aunty,it looks like you’re nervous did anything happen?”Rita came out to meet me in the backyard.
I forced a smile and drop out of my nervousness.

“nne how was school today?”I asked
she nodded happily.
“let’s go for evening sales”I said.
she went inside to change into casuals then we headed for stalls with tray to hawk fruits while okon stayed at home.

Stella a girl from the next village joined us,she always hawk vegetables in our neighborhood so we always go together.

we talked as we walked.
“umm chetachi finally there is a guy more handsome than your village prince”she started sweetly.
“my village prince…have not even seen him before and I don’t care cos firstly he must be wicked like his father and secondly I can’t even recognize him not to talk of his shadow”I said.
“seriously you can’t recognize prince eze and you’re in this kingdom…tell me are you alive”she said.

“anyways I saw this guy-
gosh chetachi this guy handsome die but he is a butty,doesn’t talk and he has this calm baby face,that day I saw him he looks new to the neighborhood and was with a man that looks like a guard,
that one was showing him around,

but the good news is that he stays in my neighborhood and not in yours that is ruled by a wicked king” she added.

I coughed jokingly,my sister laughed.
“do you think I lied?”Stella said.
“what’s essence of giving you listening ears when the guy in question doesn’t even know you exist and besides am surprised because this is the first time I will see a woman admiring the opposite sex,
don’t you think it makes you cheap cos that’s what you just demonstrated you see you don’t even know his name” I said.

“cheta see the way you just spoil the guy that I described”she said.
I looked at her.
“well I know for sure he must attend royal high to learn the ways of the royals I wish I will someday meet a royal”stella speaks so highly.

“OK.Actually I was almost locked in torture,I ran into a royal and poured hot ogbono soup on him”I said.
“waaaaaattt tell me more”Stella said.
“he left me to get arrested..it was the kings adviser that let me go”I added.

“which royals did you meet?she asked.
“I don’t really know,I don’t know much about them”I said.
“well you never cared to listen all the while I wanted to gist you”she said.
“okay tell me”I said.

“after the birth of prince Eze,king somadinna was opportuned to have two more sons-Emeka and Ebuka” she said.

“I wonder who I met”I said.
“I wonder too…anyways eze is the crowned prince,next king..most handsome,he is rich,hot,best dress sense and also a business tycoon.
He spent 12years to school abroad, 5years training at Miami.

he built his first mansion at 20..he is the first royal’s to build a mansion and now,he is back to take royal training in royal high.

prince eze doesn’t smile at all,he is mean,wicked and verrrrrry strict. students in royal high recorded his character as unfriendly and nasty… but his brothers; emeka and ebuka are cool.
Right now,I guess eze should be 22 or 21..

but you see this new guy I described his more handsome than Eze just that I don’t know his name and and he is new to the neighborhood,
doesn’t always come outside” she said and I nodded like I really listened.

“okay tell me about royal high”I said.
“royal high is a great school as long as you’re wealthy,its a privileged to meet many royal kid as humans and even speak to them”she said.
“no poor,is that why ozioma was killed…I can never attend that type of school”I said.
“me too,I heard the royal princes where the main initiators of the rule” she said.

“I forgot to tell you that I registered for an average beauty contest,its been done every year although the board behind it said that they haven’t find the type of beauty they are looking for,they need a natural just like yours”she said.

“you registered,do you really want to compete, well good luck”I said.
“yes I will soon get my arrangements the contest is online meaning I will have to look for a place to borrow laptop and a good phone with camera and the girl with the best beauty would be recorded and awarded and might get opportunity to get admitted into royal high or even get bethrothed to Eze who knows! she said.

“that wicked king son but hope you are ready for the war in their home” I added.
she smiled.
“at least he is cute”she said.
“well who am I to stop you,good luck” I said.
“cheta Chi please compete,you have the beauty and I have been begging you for the past months” she said.
“as for that am not interested”I said.

we made sales. Rita didn’t sell half of her fruits like wise Stella but I sold mine finish,I always sell mine finish.
we path ways,
Stella headed to the direction of her village while Rita and I hurried back home.
the aroma of vegetable soup was what greeted us,

we dropped our trays and hurried in, we had our night bath and settled to eat our food.
“mother you’re a good cook”I said as I threw a meat into my mouth.

it was that moment papa came in with a black nylon which he dropped sorrowfully
“nnayin what happened?*mama ask, I swallowed a big bolus of Eba.
papa looked at me,I just saw a tear dropped,the whole family was confused and yet I swallowed another Eba and even ate meat then I drank water fully.

“papa is sad and you’re still eating!
okon said.
I swallowed another Eba,I mean I want to finish eating first before the bad news would drop.

“chetachi I knew you’re evil
you have never brought good luck nor good fortunes for me,
All you bring to me is bad lucks and disappointment”he said.

and the Eba in my mouth fall back on the floor.
“you just made me get fired in my workplace”he dropped the bombshell I covered my mouth in shock.

“nnayin(my dear) what do you mean?” mama asked.
“is the useless thing you gave me as a daughter”papa retorts.
“my daughter is not useless biko(please) don’t let us start this again .

cheta is that true”she faced me.
I quickly recalled the clash that happened in the palace gate,
I started crying.

“I didn’t… mamma understand me, he called me mad and he wasn’t looking well he allowed the ogbono….

“the ogbono what!!!! papa shouted.
mama started coughing and gasping for breath hardly.

Rita stood up and rushed to get her drugs.She took the drugs and calm down.
Papa shakes his head and went inside.

“hmm. this is bad,papa lost his job I lost my appetite already”okon said and went inside.
“good night mama,am not eating again”Rita said and went in.

I sat back and wanted to eat until I turned back and saw that mama wasn’t breathing anymore🔥.
