I felt someone hugged me from the back on bed,I was so deep in my sleep with my best smile.
“I love you”Obi told me.
“If this is a dream,just keep me in the dream forever”I told him back in my best smiles.
He took me to many places,
different houses,
both me and Rita.I was enjoying the sleep until….

“those stupid girls are still sleeping!
bother Rita and I sprang up.
“oh god today is Saturday”Rita said and fell on the bed.she sleeps a lot.
“you had better standup before the imbecile comes for you” I said.She stood up lazily and followed me to the bathroom were we washed our faces and brush our teeth.

I left Rita there and quickly tidy up our room,then I check my laptop where I was charging it.

I closed the laptop.I will have to remind mrs Clara about my school fee but before then what can I do to make her happy so that she she can pay my fee.
Rita came out,
we went out and started cleaning.

I now look stressed out as I approached amaka’s room to clean. the room was upside down.Everywhere was scattered and worst still Amaka isn’t inside.
none of business anyways. I cleaned her room and left to clean Mrs clara’s own.
this woman and my father are both gold diggers,it runs in their blood.

I cleaned her room while using one eye to watch her,she was busy with phones. Soon I was done,I came back.
“yes how can I help you? are you done with all your chores?”she asked

“yes ma’am”I replied.
“soo what do you want?”she asked.
“hmm ma’am I was thinking if you can help me call my father,I want to have some words with him his last number that I tried with my friends phone wasn’t going through”I said.

“I should call your father…will you get out of my sight before I do it myself” she shouted.

I rushed out of the room to the kitchen in tears.Rita was washing plates so I quickly wipe my tears and joined her.

“so what did she say? did she call our father?”Rita asked.
“she didn’t… she sent me out” I said.
We heard footsteps,Mrs Clara.
we stopped talking.

“chetachi come here”Mrs Clara said and handed me a list which I collected with both hands.
“that’s my friends address,her maid ran away yesterday so she needs help”she said.I breathed out and collected the list…

“what are you still waiting for?”she asked.
“food…have not eaten”I said.
she took a plate to throw at me,I rushed out.

I bath before going out.
Am I not foolish for wearing a white top? when am going out to clean.
I dashed out and passed the market side.

“chetachi hy”I waved.
“Stella”I also waved back.
“CHETA where to?”she asked.
“well Mrs Clara…
“I understand”she said.
I proceeded to leave,she dragged me back.

“have you heard news about your father?”she asked.
“what news!”I replied.
“your father is now rich,chai his house looks like a paradise”she said, it was as if something is wrong with my ears.
“are you sure you know what you’re saying?”I replied.
“have I ever lied to you before,well I have the address if you want to see for yourself”she said and explained the directions.
I thanked her and mastered the address on my head.I rushed off fast to the place Clara sent me.
I will gladly obey her if this will make her pay my school session fee.

I got to the house with the use of the address.the gateman took me in.He even took me inside,
the living room was furnished expensively.

I waited till a fat woman came.
“you’re the girl Clara sent to me?” she asked,I nodded.
“good..follow me”the woman said.
I followed her to the laundry room, the place she took me to.
Like three big baskets were filled with dirty clothes.
oh god save your daughter.

“I told Clara I need three maids but she said only you can handle the clothes”she said.
“or can’t you?”she asked.
I remembered Clara’s warnings and nodded sadly.
“do you want to eat before you start?” she asked.
“food..no thank you ma’am”I said.
I set the bowls and started washing.

“am going out,my baby is in the room with my husband so in case she cries you can help me pet her” she said.I nodded.
I was crying in my heart.

😭 you were my strength when I’m down but that my pole of support is no more,the hands that pet me couldn’t lift anymore😭

I dried my tears and started washing each time I get tired,I will drink water.

~~~18hours passed.

I finished washing the clothes,it was really late in the evening,the woman wasn’t back and I didn’t even heard the cry of a baby.I wanted to clip the clothes when I heard her cry.

although tired,I rushed to the room but later trail the cry to the sitting room.The woman husband was there washing TV.
I went to him and collected the baby, I touched her diapers,it was so soaked. I took her away and cleaned her up.At least she stopped crying and soon fell asleep in my arms.

“sir she slept where should I drop her?”I asked.
“the room”he said and directed.
I dropped the baby,the man came in when I was arranging the baby’s room.

I felt someone grabbed me from behind……
