“Honey,i understand your pain but you don’t need to transfer the aggression on our daughter” Mrs Uyah said,angrily.
“You need to take it easily. You are not the only one pained. I am also pained at the loss of Daren,not only you is pained” she added in a more loud yell.
She rushed up the stairs to meet her daughter.

After throwing up heavily in the bathroom,Chidinma felt light headed. An urgent craving for grilled goat meat stew overwhelmed her. She felt like she will die if she doesn’t get to eat it in the next hours.
The craving came fresh and even so sudden.

“By this time,where will I get it?” She asked herself as she brushed her teeth. Each time she vomits,she is found of brushing her teeth maybe because it cleans irritation off her mouth.

After she was done,she left the bathroom and settled down to see if she can get an order.

“Oh no! It’s very late. There is no how I will get it” she sniffed, her stomach grumbled loudly again.

“I need grilled goat meat stew!”
“Aaaah I need it!!” She whispered in little tears and didn’t even notice her mother’s presence from the other door.

Mrs uyah was stunned.”Stewed goat meat” she even wants it grilled when an important matter is going on in the family???

“Mma” Mrs Uyah called.

Chidinma snapped her head up immediately. Mrs Uyah moved closer and noticed the traces of tears in her eyes.
“Stewed grilled goat meat!”
“Yes,mom I need it…I am craving badly for it” she replied,childishly.

Mrs Uyah shook her head. In as much as she tried to understand what was wrong with her daughter, she still doesn’t understand a single thing.

“Ohhh…okay I will prepare it for you now,there are fresh goat meat in the freezer”.

“Ohh yes! Mom please add fried yam as well”…
“Ohh okay…” Mrs Uyah gave her another suspicious look before walking out.

40minutes later.

The delicious aroma made Chidinma sprang up immediately.
“Thank you Mom” she spoke in a rush and collected the tray from her.

Mrs Uyah watched her daughter in astonishment,as she shut her eyes tightly with every bite she took. She could hear the sounds made as she munch on the juicy flesh of the meat.

“gently okay? So you will get an easy digestion” she told her as she sat gently opposite her at her personal dinning.

“Okay Mom” Chidinma nodded but that didn’t stop her from eating so fast.

Mrs Uyah widened her eyes,more surprised.”didn’t you have any meal since morning?”
Chidinma nodded.” I did but this craving just came so sudden”

“And you vomited earlier,are you sure you are okay?” Mrs Uyah blinked,her daughter’s craving right now is something else. She would have said she was pregnant but she didn’t show any body signs and she has only vomited once in her presence.

“Thank you so much Mom,I feel so much better after eating this” Chidinma said and drank the tomato juice.

“You are welcome but you don’t normally eat goat meat?” She asked. In fact the goat meat in the freezer was what she usually buys for their dogs cos no one eats goat meat in their family…

“You don’t use to eat goat meat?”

“I like it now” she replied.
Mrs Uyah arched her brows,she knew something was definitely wrong somewhere.

“About what happened earlier with your father—

“Mom am tired,I feel like sleeping”
“Okay have your time” she replied but she still didn’t leave.

She vomited,
She doesn’t eats goat meat but she suddenly likes it….
She gets tired and wants to sleep immediately after eating…
Her craving for the goat meat was uncontrollable….

Chidinma who already bathed and now in her night robe lazily lay flat on her soft bed,inhaling the scents from the teddies that displayed on her bed.

“When did you start liking goat meat?” Mrs Uyah asked.
“Today,I will eat more if it tomorrow” she replied.
“Ohh….” Mrs Uyah muttered,she now got it.
“Does Rema likes stewed grilled goat meat and fried yam?” That was her next question.

“Yes,it’s his best food”Chidinma replied, sleepily. It was then she remembered the pregnancy test kit she purchased earlier but she always forget to use it and now that she remembered it,she got lazy to stand and use it.

Mrs Uyah nodded and walked out. It only means one thing,her daughter is pregnant.

Meanwhile rema was still standing by the door. He was almost tempted to go in but he held himself. He was damn confused.
“Who is Daren?”
“Do they have a past with his family??”

He will get answered.
He walked out and beeped his car opened. He called bethel first.
“Cancel my trip to Vietnam” he said.
“But it’s—-
“Obey me,okay” he ended the call. He drove away instantly.

“Do I really need to do this?” Rema asked himself while staring at the Golden gate of the royal palace. He had arrived hours ago but he didn’t drive in,he stopped his car at a distant and glance at the gate.

Well,he never want to see the face of Jewel anymore….right now,he had no option than to do.

He ran his fingers in his hair as he drove in.

Rema scoffed inwardly,he flashed them a smile as he walked in.
The maids rushed out in one single lines and there comes the old woman, Madam Benedicta.
She walked forward with a tray of whatever.

Rema smiled at the woman and bowed at her, “mother” he muttered. Well the woman took care of him those times he was still blind.
“My son” Benedicta smiled as she sprayed he flowers allover him as a welcome sign.

“Bless you my son” she said.
Rema smiled, he walked in afterwards in his earlier angry mood.

Charles came out from the opposite side with his guards as an acompliance.
“I was right about you,you will always come back for what is righfully mine” Charles smirked.

“You think I came for that?” Rema scoffed. He moved closer to Charles and whispered.

“The more you speak about the throne,the more you want me to pick an interest in it. But sadly enough,I pity you. Only the true son of Jewel will sit on the throne and you all know who the true son is?? And besides you must have noticed how I welcomed right?”
Rema mouthed,savagely,he walked out of him to face the main reason he came here.
