The next morning, Auggie and I got prepared for school and after eating a bowl of cornflakes together, we were on our way, as we walked down the stairs Erick came out of the house and with a smile on his face, he waved to us.
“bye” he yelled.
“let’s go Auggie” I said to Auggie preventing him from waving back to Erick.
“hey I wasn’t talking to you, but Auggie okay?!!” Erick yelled before walking back inside, I rolled my eyes and Auggie and I hurried down the stairs.
We both trekked to school and after dropping Auggie in his school I went to mine, but our school isn’t that far from each other’s
I got to our overpopulated class and went to my seat beside Annie who was seriously busy with her phone that she didn’t hear the “hi” I said to her, i ignored her and brought down my backpack. Half of the class were busy with their phone mostly girls, while the boys are at the back of the class playing some stupid game that I can’t explain.
“ahhhh!!!!!!” Annie screamed.
“Annie are you okay?” I worridly asked. But she ignored my question and stood up.
“guys, he’s here, he just landed and some paparazzi had already taken pictures of him at the airport and spreading it on the internet” Annie said and everyone rushed towards her and she showed them pictures of the person she was talking about.
“oh.. He’s so cute… “he’s adorable.. “look at his cute smile”….”oh I wish I could skip school and go to the airport… “yeah me too”..
I heard those kind of murmurs behind me and I know they were talking about Daniel hangerson.
After looking at the photos of Daniel, the girls went back to their seats and Annie sat down beside me finally noticing me.
“hey you’re here” she smiled.
“I’ve been here ages ago but you were too busy with your Daniel hangerson” I said and she gasped.
“don’t ruin his glamorous name, it’s Daniel Anderson okay?!” she said and I rolled my eyes.
“whatever”.
“so are you going to his concert on Friday?” she asked.
“no” I said plainly and she moved closer to me.
“hey let me tell you a secret,” she said and moved even closer to my ear and in a whisper she said.
“I have someone, well let’s just put that aside, I’ve got tickets to his concert”.
“did you just say you have tickets to Daniel’s concert” a girl behind us suddenly said and everyone turned to Annie.
“what? No I was just joking, you know when you joke about something it comes true” Annie said and laughed nervously and everyone turned back to their business.
“phew! That was close” Annie said, stood up and dragged me outside.
“okay I had to lie to everyone, I actually have tickets to Daniel’s concert and I’d really like it if you go with me please?” she said with her eyes shimmering at me.
“I’m sorry Annie I can’t” I have things to do that Friday” I said and she pouted.
Let me calculate, If I go to the concert, I’ll stay out late and sleep late which means I’ll wake up late on Saturday morning and miss the paper delivery.
“sorry, I can’t” I said again about walking in the class but she held me.
“please June! I’ll do all your homework for a week and I’ll never mock you about Maria Li ever again” she said and I sighed.
“why do you want me to be go so bad?” I asked folding my arms.
“so you’ll see the beauty he has inside” she said with smile.
“so I’ll be fangirling over him like a lunatic, well thanks but I can already see his so called beauty from your wallpaper” I said and she sighed.
“fine! But I’ll surprise you on friday” she said and grin slyly before walking behind the teacher who walked in our class.
Annie and I had lunch in the classroom with three other girls, Julia, Phoebe and joy since our cafeteria was a bit small and the four of ‘them’ started talking about
Daniel Anderson. And before I knew it they started to sing his songs.

The song was great the way they sang it and I wished I knew it, I’ve never listened to any of Daniel Anderson’s song but this one will be my favorite if I listen to all of them.
“what’s the title of the song?” I asked.
“why do you suddenly care about our Daniel’s beautiful song” Annie said and I rolled my eyes.
“it’s called ‘just love me’ it’s his second song after his debut song, “second chance” Phoebe said and I nod.
“oh second chance is my favorite the way his voice synchronized with the beat and the lyrics made it feel like he was really in love and heartbroken” joy said
“but what if he really dated and got his heart broken before being a singer?” Annie suggested.
“but on the internet it was said he’s never dated before” joy said.
“as much as I love Daniel, don’t believe anything you see on the internet” Julia warned and they all nod.
“but are any of you going to his concert?” joy asked.
“yep” they all answered among themselves and giggled.
“but just imagine guys, he’ll be up there singing and I’ll be down there screaming out his name and slowly his glamorous eyes will look down at me and then his hand will reach for mine and grabbed it, he’ll pull me up the stage and then. He’ll.. He’ll kiss me” Annie said with a smile and Julia rolled her eyes.
“you dream too much” Julia snarled.
“I’m just saying, you don’t have to pretend you’re not jealous, Daniel and I will make a perfect couple and together we’ll be Da-Annie” Annie said smiling after her day dreams..
“no together he and I will be Dabie” phoebe said. And we all laughed. I laughed too cause it didn’t make sense and joy’s was worst, she smiled before saying “Daniel and I will be Doy” joy said and we all burst out into hysterical laughters.
“that’s crazy, just leave it for the best Da-lia” Julia smiled and Annie huffed cause it made a beautiful name “Dalia”.

Well school was over and I went over to the elementary school to pick Auggie and we both went home.
Auggie and I got home and we met Erick in the living room with Ella, I almost forgot we have a new family member.
“you guys are back” Erick smiled.
“Ella!” Auggie said happily and ran to meet his dog which was happily wagging her tail as she saw us.
“Auggie go take off your uniform before playing with that canine now!” I said strictly and Auggie pat Ella’s head before walking inside our room.
“how was school?” Erick asked.
“it’s was pathetically not your business” I smiled
“June, learn to be polite” My grandma said coming out of her room.
“but I am polite” I said with my head high.
“you know what I’m talking about” my grandma added and glance back and forth between Erick and I.
And I sighed and turned to him
“school was great today, thanks for asking” I said loudly with a small bow.
“satisfied?” I smiled at my grandma.
“not yet” she smiled back before walking away.
“I love your grandma, she has a sense of humour” Erick smiled and I rolled my eyes at him before walking into my room.
Auggie was taking his bathe when I walked in cause I heard the shower running and as I dropped down my bag, he came out of the bathroom and with hastiness he wore his clothes and ran out of the room, I heard him call Ella, Erick’s dog and I smiled and shook my head negatively, so he couldn’t wait to play with her.
I removed my uniform and before I knew it, I found myself under the shower, I took my time before walking out of the shower, and wearing my clothes, I wore a loosed sweater and a Jean short and I got on my bed, I placed my phone beside me and started to play one of Maria Li’s song, ”it had to be you” lip syncing the song quietly I fell asleep, I must have been so tired, and my skin looks like its getting tanned everyday because of the burning sun, but it’s a good thing, summer is approaching.

I suddenly saw myself under a stage light and on a stage, I looked forward and saw thousands of people staring at me and chanting my name, they were so many of them holding up light sticks and waving it in the air.
And then I saw Maria Li in front of me and she gave me her glorious smile and then she raised up a glittering microphone to her mouth and then she started to sing..

She stopped singing and gestured her hand forward for me to continue with the song and I smiled and raised my microphone to my mouth and was about to sing but I couldn’t find my voice.
“bu–t o-ne… I tried to sing but my voice shook and Maria Li gave me a disappointed look. And then I started to cry cause I failed, I failed Maria Li and everyone who wanted to listen to me, my cheeks became really wet from crying and I woke up.

I touch my cheek knowing it was wet and I cringed when it was something else on cheek instead of tears, it was slimy and sticky and I turned to my side to see Ella beside me, her mouth opened and saliva dropping from it.
“you licked my face didn’t you?” I said to the dog who had no idea of what I was talking about but happily wagged her tail and walked out of my room, I walked out of my bed but into the bathroom to wash my face. I dried my face and Walked out of my bedroom and into the living room and a great pack of scents from different kind of food wiped my nose, I stopped to see my grandma, Erick and Auggie around the table about to eat dinner.
“oh good you’re awake” my grandma smiled.
“who let Ella into my room?” I asked.
“I wanted to come wake you up but Erick said it would be better if I start eating and let Ella wake you up” Auggie explained and I huffed.
“and she did a pretty good job, nice one Ella” Erick smiled at his dog. I sighed and sat beside my grandma.. “grandma you didn’t have to make dinner you could wake me up to prepare it” I said worridly
“I didn’t cook dinner, Erick did” my grandma said and Erick smiled.
“I used to be chef, don’t look down on me” he added and I rolled my eyes, I grabbed my spoon and had a taste of the meal and oh my god it tasted to great.
“how’s it? Am I a good cook?” Erick asked.
“don’t ask me stu–
My grandma glared at me before I could reply him and I sighed.
“it’s tates perfect!” I said and he smiled.
“I am such a good cook” he praised himself and my grandma smiled “you sure are!” she tapped his shoulder.
After dinner, I decided to wash the dishes but Erick said he’d do it cause he was the chef of that day and I didn’t talk much I just let him do his stuff.
I was in the living with my phone when my grandma walked in.
“what are you doing?” she asked.
“nothing”. I replied.
“where’s Erick?”
“he’s doing the dishes”. I answered
“what? Alone? Aren’t you supposed to be helping him?” she added and I scoffed. “help him? He decided to do it alone and by himself so he doesn’t need my help” I stated and my grandma glared at me.
“you’re a girl June, and he’s a boy, that’s not what boys do, that’s what a girl should do and instead of doing nothing here go help him” my grandma insisted and I groaned and dropped my phone on the table before standing up and walking to the kitchen.
“what.. Do you.. Wa–
“I’m here to help” I said and he smiled
“really?” .
“don’t get too excited, grandma forced me” I said.
“well too bad, I’m done” he smiled and I walked out of the kitchen.
“why are you back here?” my grandma asked.
“I told you he doesn’t need my help and he’s already through with it” I said grabbing my phone.
Erick walked into the living room with his annoying smile.
“grandma I’m through with the dishes” he said.
“you’re blessed Erick” my grandma smiled, I got up and went back to my room so they could have a little, ‘mother and son moment”
I got on my bed and again, I started to play Maria Li’s song, I remembered my dream and pondered on what it could mean, I remembered school today and also rewind my Memory to the song, Annie, joy, Julia and Phoebe were singing it was a song by Daniel Anderson and apart from Maria Li’s song it was the first song I’ll ever like from another artist.. *

After hours of singing and dancing to Maria Li’s song i didn’t know it was nighttime until Auggie came in feeling sleepy. And I was surprised to see it was 8:45pm. Wow Maria Li’ really got me.
“where have you been Auggie?” I asked.
“in Erick’s room I was playing with Ella” he said lying down but be suddenly got up.
“June!” he called.
“yes?”
“Erick’s room is beautiful, his bed is wide and blue, he had beautiful curtains and the flour is shiny and slippery and he has a small fridge and a TV, but he didn’t let me watch TV, he said I should just play with Ella, I wish our room could be like his” Auggie said unhappily .
“August.” I called him by his full name and he looked up at me. “you and I are not from the world of Erick, he’s a rich kid okay, so just be contented with your life” I said and fanned my face with my hand, all this dancing is making me heat.
“wanna go outside?” I asked, seeing that I’ve ruined Auggie’s happy mood and made him less sleepy.
He nods and I smiled and took his hand while we both walked outside.we got on our star-gazing table, the one Erick and I sat on yesterday and as usual we laid there and we started to stare at the stars. Auggie was quiet so I had to say something to make his moody attitude disappear.
“don’t worry Auggie, one day, we’ll be rich and then you’d have ten TVs a thousands of fridge and a bigger bed and you’ll also eat till your tummy drop” I said and he giggled.
“and I’ll also have ice-cream sundae” he said and I nod.
“yeah,” I beamed.
“want to listen to a story?” I asked.
“yes..” he said happily.
“okay, so there was a once a little boy..
“start with once upon a time” Auggie interrupted me.
“why?” I smiled.
“cause every story that starts with once upon a time always have a happy ending!” he replied and I laughed.
“well okay, once upon a time there was a young boy who hard a small farm, and in that farm, he grew corns, beans, peanuts and tomatoes, but then one day something horrible happened”.
“what happened?” he asked inquisitively.
I continued to tell Auggie the story and he was really interested in it, and after some minutes I realised I was talking to myself cause Auggie was fast asleep. I sighed and stopped talking.
“continue the story’s interesting” I heard Erick’s voice behind me and I flinched and sat up.
“what.. how did you get here?, how long have you been here?” I asked.
“a very long time ago” he chuckled.
“I forgot I’m talking to a psycho” i mumbled to myself and looked away.
“you want me to help you take Auggie inside?” he asked.
“no thanks” I huffed and he shrugged and sat beside me.
“move” I tell him.
“it’s not like am biting you or anything” he said and I moved a little to get away from him.
“okay seriously, why do you hate me so much?” he asked.
“like I told you I don’t hate you” I said and fold my arm.
“it’s my second day here and yet you’re still acting a bit grumpy towards me” he said and I kept quiet and looked away.
I don’t hate him, I don’t hate people.
“I don’t hate you” I mumbled.
“then why does it feels like you do?” he asked moving his hair back.
“well.. It’s just that,… I’m angry” I stated hesitantly
“angry with me? What did I do wrong, is it about Ella waking you up? If it’s about her, I’m sorr–
“it’s not about her.. I sighed. Gosh it’s so hard to say this.
“then what is it about?” he asked.
“it’s about you, me, grandma and Auggie, I know you’re a rich, but still you chose to live in this kind of place, I don’t know why you chose to, but you living with us is uncomfortable, and embarrassing for me, I mean you get to see the way we live as poor unfortunate souls, and really I don’t want that life but what can I do, it was okay when it was just the three of us but since you came it hadn’t been okay cause I hate the kind of life I’m living and letting another person see it is just unbearable” I narrated rushing my words.
“oh..” Erick breathed out.
“I’m sorry if I’ve been rude, I hope you understand me now” I said covering my face with my palm.
“I don’t see a reason for you to be embarrassed cause I’m not those kind of people who judge like a psycho and I think you’re living the best life ever” Erick said and I looked at him.
“what do you mean?.” I asked.
