Anthony’s POV

I blinked my eye when I realized that I’d only imagine myself kissing Nancy and imagining her kissing me

I moved my lip closer to hers and placed my lips gently on hers. I kissed her softly but it seems she isn’t aware

I helped her place her head on my shoulder.

Around 2:0 clock am. I noticed my shoulder felt empty, I turned and realized that she had taken her head off my shoulder and she is now fully awake

I hope she doesn’t know that I kiss her cus I’ll feel somehow if she does

“What’s the time?” She asked

“Check it yourself” I reply coldly and turned my head back to the TV

“One hour to the show, sir, I’m kinda nervous . Are we the only one performing for real? where is Scot and Brian?” She asked but I ignored

After few minutes of watching the show together. It’s really an interesting one. My eyes suddenly met at someone familiar coming up on stage

“Did you see that?” I asked Nancy nervously.

Damn it! Why did I have to ask her. She will feel important now and I do not want her to feel so close to me

“Yes I do” She replied happily and I nodded regretting badly for uttering that statement out

We both watched the person singing with three other men , it was a fabulous one.

“Sir, they sang well, But I know we will win” She said and I nodded

“I actually think Karen can not sing, I’m surprised at what I’m seeing though. She sings nicely” I said and checked my wrist watch

“Hey, it’s almost time, get set” I said and she start adjusting her dress

“Ladies and gentlemen, We believe you have being enjoying the show so far. Join me as I make welcome the flower boys” The coordinator of the programme said and Nancy and I walked to the stage majestically

Everyone cheered us up with a loud clap, the whole place was full of hype but no doubt, many spectators are actually stunned cus they know the flower boys to be three cute boys , they will be wondering how we became a boy and a girl

I moved closer to the standing mic and Nancy did the same

We started singing , the more we sang , the more the crowds cheered us up

I noticed them carrying a woman out in a stretcher out of the show, it seems the woman get so emotional till she fainted. Many were crying at the fluent and deep lyrics of the song we sang

After we were done, we went back to the back stage and watched the next series of programme

The time finally came for them to announce the winner of this year’s show

I really want us to win and that made me kinda nervous.

“Sir, I believe we will win” Nancy said freely

“I hope so” I replied coldly and keep hating the fact that she is feeling free to speak to me

“Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for taking out your time to attend today’s show , we are announcing the winner of the show now, stay turned ” The coordinator said and an advert was advertised

“Welcome back to the show , We are picking three winner for the show and I’m gonna start from the third position , Young Boss record label won the third position” He said and the crowd echoed and praised the record label that received third award

“The second position should go to either we or universal record label ” Nancy said

“Young lady, would you calm down and let me listen to this result ” I said sternly and she nodded gently

“Second best performance goes to BIB record label ” The coordinator said and everyone echoed and praised the record label that did well by getting the award for the second position

“And the first , the overall best performing record label goes to …. Goes to… ” He said and paused and the whole atmosphere was tense and silent like a graveyard

Everyone was anticipating to listen to whom the first position would go to

” Flower boys” The man said and everyone echoed in amazement and happiness.

I’m so happy that I turned at Nancy and smiled and jubilates by clenching my fist and shaking my hands

I feel like hugging her to celebrate but I controlled myself .

I guess she’s surprised to see me this happy cus she was smiling but also amazed at my expression of total happiness

This award had being a life long dream for me, I’m happy I was able to receive it even without my brothers , though I must confess that I miss them but It’s great performing with Nancy

The third and second best performer were called out and awarded respectfully

“Flower boys, kindly step out for your award” The coordinator said and I stood happily

Nancy stood gently and followed behind as I waked to the stage before her

“Congratulations” The man said

“Thanks sir” I replied with a smiling face

“We know the flower boys to be three males , Anthony, Brian and Scot. This is Anthony, where is Brian and Scot and more so, who is this lady cus rumour has being spread that she is your girlfriend ?” the man asked and I smiled

I faced the crowd squarely and everyone was anticipating for my response

“Brian and Scot are quiet busy, I’m sorry for that. The lady here is Nancy, she is my …” I said and paused

“Babysitter” I said in my mind but I think that will make her look ridiculed before the public

“Fake girlfriend ” I said in my heart but I reasoned that it’s not cool too, this man will further ask me what I meant by fake girlfriend , I do not want unnecessary interview this night. I just wanna collect this award and walk out peacefully

What name should I call her now

“Girlfriend” I said and rumour fills the air instead of sound of happiness, I wondered why but it occurred to me that many ladies crushing on me and hoping that something can work between us someday actually feel bad that I have a girlfriend not knowing that I was only lying

Over my dead body will I ever have a common baby sitter as a girlfriend. That will be so ridiculing

“Thanks” The man said and Awarded Nancy and I

We were happy and many people are happy for us

I was waving in the air greeting everyone and signalling to them that we are about going

“Sorry, Mr Anthony” one of the judge said and everywhere went silent like graveyard

I turned at the judge that called my name

“You said Nancy is your girlfriend , but you didn’t act like one, there is no romantic display before you guys here, should we believe that you are lying sir?” He asked

“I’m not , she is” I replied and hoping that the man will stop the questions

“Prove it” The man said and my face dropped

I mover closer to Nancy and gave her a false hug and maintained a false smile on my lips then I turned at the judge

“Anyone can hug anyone, do something deeper with her” The judge said

“I can’t have s*x with her right here sir ” I said and everyone chuckled

“I ain’t talking about sex, kiss her , if you do , everyone and I will believe you truly meant what you said by referring to her as your girlfriend

” of course I can always kiss her any time” I said and turned at Nancy

She was smiling at me but I was scared to kiss her

I moved closer to her but my heart was beating heavily , I feel like I’m gonna faint anytime

How do I escape this now and what kind of judge is this for goodness sake

I walked closer to her and stood before her. I was overwhelmed and I feel embarrassed that I’ll have to kiss her again

Her lips are sexy and firm as always , Kissing it a thousand time will not be enough

“Sir, I can’t kiss her” I said in my mind but I dare not say that out. The media will say I lie and that will make me loose fans , many people will think negative of me

I have to kiss her but why the hell can’t I grab her and kiss her. I’m just scared

She won’t reject, will she? Yeah. She won’t want to embarrass me publicly me here

I summoned a little courage and moved my lips closers to hers, she closed her eyes and with the look on her face, she is probably expecting it

Jeez! Karen will be watching us from where she sat. Brian and Scot will be watching us from home, Karen’s father is probably watching us on TV too

Cus this show is worldwide

The fear of the world seeing us kissing life overwhelmed me

What if Donna is not dead, what if she is watching me somewhere

“Judge , I can’t kiss her ” I said in my mind but I reasoned that the outcome maybe be worse

I summoned more courage moved my lips closer to hers. My lips landed on hers and we both kissed passionately before the world

The whole crowd stood and cheered us up.

“Second time you kissing me sir” She said softly

“No, it’s the third time actually”
