Greg was sitting at the dining table with his family, who were all staring at him.

“What?” he asked. “Is there something you need to say? If not, I have to leave.”

The door swung open and Francisco walked in. “Sorry I’m late, I had an early meeting” he explained and apologized as he rushed to take a seat beside his mother, facing his older brother in return.

“Just great, you asked everyone to meet here very early just to wait for the favorite” he said sarcastically.

Greg?!” Vincent tapped him as a way of saying what he said isn’t exactly nice.

“Oh come on Greg,” Mrs Kings replied,” don’t be like that.”

“We were just waiting for your brother,” she added.

“We have works too you know? Which also need our attention” Greg stated.

” I said I’m sorry” Cisco repeated, ” no one said you didn’t, I’m just telling you that you are not the only person that makes money” he retorted

” And what on Earth is that suppose to mean?” Cisco queried. ” We also contribute to the wellbeing of this family” Greg continued

“What’s your point?!” Cisco demanded, “my point is you made us all wait and wasted our time” he replied.

“I apologized!” He snapped, ” yeah of course that is how it works with you. An apology and everyone would forget your mistake” he spat.

” What are you insinuating?!” Cisco asked a little loud. ” You are the..”

Mr Kings, their father cut in “Enough! That’s just enough! It’s early for Pete’s sake do you really have to fight?

You are brothers, you should love and tolerate each other. Put your differences aside and sit as a brothers!” He scolded.

” None of this would have happened if he had come earlier” Greg said.

“He apologized, what more do you want? What you just did was childish!” Mr Kings stated.

” Yeah it’s always my fault. Cisco never does anything wrong! It’s always Greg, he’s the oldest, he’s wiser, he should understand his brother, blah blah blah, everything would have been great if you had aborted him” he blunted.

” Gregory!” Mrs Kings exclaimed and everywhere went silent not even a sound came out of anyone.

Cisco stared at him and wondered if he is really his brother, they were friends, the three of them.

During their high school days people thought they were triplets but height, class and age made them knew they were not.

The love was so great that they shared a room, everything changed when Cisco and Greg got into college.

He became cold and demanded for his own room, he did things alone and when he needed help he asked Vin.

Cisco was too busy dealing with other things that he didn’t notice what was really going on. But Greg thought he just wanted to ignore it, so he played the game.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned Into months, months turned into years but nothing changed. The nemesis grew when Cisco became a billionaire at twenty three.

He started providing for the family which included his twenty six years old jobless and married brother, who also happened to be expecting a child.

Cisco helped him secure his present job but without his knowledge. The family got tired of solving issues and just let them be.

Greg’s anger grew when it looks like everyone loves Cisco more than him. Everyone spoke about his success including his own wife. His little girl seems to enjoy spending time with him too.

He stopped her from seeing him when he noticed this and lied to her that her uncle is busy. Only Octavia, his wife knew he was jealous.

“You should take back your words right now and we will pretend you never said that” Mr Kings said calmly.

” Why did you call for us dad?” Vin asked changing the topic.

” Yes, I want us to have a quick discussion about our family, especially you two” he said as he pointed at Cisco and Vin.

Cisco gave Vin the ‘what’s going on look?’ he thought Vin would have a clue since he lives with their parents, he’s still a college student.

Vin shrugged and return his attention to their father. “I want you to settle down” he blunted.

“What?! I’m too young for that!” Vin protested immediately

“My speech was directed to your brother” he snapped and Vin breathed in relief while Cisco rolled his eyes.

Yeah he has this girlfriend who is a celebrity and all. His father arranged their relationship, he is trying his best to be a great boyfriend despite her attitude.

He just can’t bring himself to love her and the relationship is almost two years. He can’t tell his father that he doesn’t want to marry her because he doesn’t want to hurt him.

” Dad, I don’t think we are ready” he stated with a nervous smile. ” Why not? You are not getting younger, you are twenty six. Your brother was married at your age expecting a child” Mr Kings said

” I’m not Greg” he replied, “yeah we are definitely different and now that I know this isn’t about me I am leaving, the golden boy already wasted half of my time” he said and walked out of the house.

” I guess I shouldn’t have invited him, I just thought he would help me convince you two” Mr Kings said.

” This doesn’t involve me either” Vin shrugged, “it does Mister get yourself a girlfriend or I will do that for you” he said.

” I am not Cisco, I will fall in love I don’t need you to do that for me” he replied

” Don’t worry son, I believe you will meet the girl meant for you one of this days” Mrs Kings assured.

” Thanks Mom” he wink. Cisco phone rang and all eyes turned on him, it was his secretary.

“Excuse me, I have to take this” he said before standing up, he walked away a little before picking it up.

“April” he called, “boss Cisco you have a meeting in the next twenty minutes” she informed.

” I’ll be there” he replied before cutting the call. That’s the only job his secretary has, informing him of meetings, getting his coffees and literally doing nothing.

He does everything else himself, he likes it that way. “Sorry about that” he apologized as he sat back.

“It’s fine, so when will you propose to Allison?” Mr Kings asked.

” Soon” he replied. ” Good now you are going to give me a ride, I’m almost late for class” Vin said grabbing his bag.

” I will call you” Mrs Kings said and peck his cheeks before they left.

Thea wasn’t smiling as she walked out of the broadcasting studio. It was supposed to be her show, but she got there ready to go live when a guy approached her and told her something silly which she doesn’t believe to be true.

She is just about to confirm, “Mr Charles!” She screamed as she entered the office.

” Don’t bring the company down with your murderous scream, Miss De lores!” He snapped.

” I wouldn’t if you hadn’t postponed my show!” She replied or should I say yell

” Your show? I don’t remember you having a show” he said as he brought out a document from his drawer.

“Seriously?!” She exclaimed, well she’s not that surprised. He treats her like trash.

“Since you don’t remember, I should jog your memory, it’s only normal if I do that” she said and took a sit in front of his desk.

” I run a show called, *when love hurts* every morning at eleven to twelve pm” she explained.

” Hurts? That’s in the name?” He asked giving her a creepy look.

” Yeah, why?” She asked feeling uncomfortable with the look he’s giving her.

” Nothing” he replied, simply. “Look Mr Charles, you have to reschedule my show I won’t be available at nine pm, I have part time jobs to do” she blunted.

” You do?” He asked. ” Yeah, which is why I am hoping you will consider me” she said giving him a cute puppy face.

” I can’t believe this! That is actually good news” he said.

“How is my part time job a good news?” She asked with a furrowed brow

” I can fire you, you are just collecting salaries your show is not helping my company. Wow this is amazing” he said with a smile.

” You are joking right?” She asked with an awkward smile.

” No” he replied, ” why will you fire me! It’s not my fault your company is going bankrupt” she snapped stomping her feet on the ground.

” Don’t destroy my office with that your cursed shoe!” He snapped.

” If my shoe is cursed so is your company!” She screamed

” What did you just say?” He asked and she covered her mouth with her palm.
