“I am not,” Thea snapped out loud as she got a suspicious glare from Cisco. “Are you okay?” He asked and she chuckled nervously.

“I tend to think out loud,” she lied. I think I should ask him who he had lunch with?’ She whispered hmmm I think that’s not right, she shook her head side ways ‘no that will be too straight forward, she added, why do I even care?’ She whispered to herself .

“So, do you live in this neighbourhood?” He asked. “No,” she answered. “What are you doing here?” He asked.

“I Came to see if I will find a job,” she answered starring at the building she walked out of.

It was a Mall, she went there because she saw a vacancy board but she was too late, someone else already got the job. She begged them to give her a job even as a cleaner but she was told there was no vacancy.

She sighed as she remembered what happened in there, how embarrassed she was when the man ignored get despite the kneels and pleas.

“Let me guess you didn’t get the job,” he said and she nodded sadly. “Come with me,” he motioned with his hand.

“Where are we going?” She inquired following him. “To make you feel better,” he replied.

He took her to the same restaurant he and Vin met. A waitress came and took his order, she came back minutes later with it.

She dropped it in front of Thea and she gave Cisco a questioning look. “Why am I being served?” She asked looking all confused.

He said he is going to make her feel better, why is he buying her a meal? She can’t remember telling him she is hungry.

“Because you need all the energy you can get,” he replied. “I don’t feel weak,” she said not understanding what he is driving at.

“You feel sad,” he said and she bowed her head slightly. “Maybe,” she muttered. “Eat all you can,” he gestured at the food.

She started eating, she finished everything within a short period, “want more?” He asked but didn’t wait for reply before ordering more.

She was confused but decided to eat it, she stopped when she was satisfied, she emptied the glass of wine and sat back.

“Satisfied?” He asked and she nodded. “Let’s go,” he said and she followed grabbing her little bag.

He opened the passenger seat for her when they got to the car, ahe got in not questioning him.

He ran to the driver’s seat, he drove as soon as he got in. He played a music and she rested her head, stared at the busy street, and enjoyed the song.

She felt free and she loved it, it was like her burdens was lifted. He drove into the park and she wondered what they are doing there.

“What are we doing here?” She asked, her gaze on the teen couples and kids running around.

“No questions, I am in charge,” he said in an authoritative voice and she was almost convinced that he us serious.

But an assuring smile from him changed her thoughts, he pulled out a nose mask and wore it. “Let’s go,” he said stepping our of the car, she unbuckle her seatbelt and followed.

He got her an ice cream, then a balloon in shape of a heart. They rode a ferries wheel, he watched her shout her lungs out it seems like she enjoyed every minute of it.

“Let’s ride a roller coaster!” She pleaded pointing at it. “I know I am not in charge but please,” she begged.

“Fine,” he said. “Yes! Yes! Yes! We are ridding a coaster!” She danced towards it and he chuckled.

After riding the roller coaster, Cisco felt dizzy and held something for support as it felt like his head was about to drop.

Thea held her stomach as she laughed. “Don’t tell me you won’t ride again,” she teased.

“Never and I am in charge, we do what I want,” he said more like an order. “Aye Aye caps,” she saluted.

“Good we are going there,” he pointed at a group of people. “There?” She frowned.

“Yes there,” he replied. “Do you know what’s going on there?” She ask folding her arms under her breast.

“No but it can’t be worse than riding a roller coaster,” he said. “Scardy cat,” she scoffed.

He smiled as they move closer to the group of people, they were clapping for kids who played Scrabble.

“It’s looks educative,” he said and she rolled her eye. “The park is meant to be fun not educative,” she started.

“The park is meant to be fun place not suicide ground,” he said glaring at the roller coaster.

Thea followed his gaze and got what he is talking about, “and you think the park is meant for this?” She asked glaring at the Scrabble board.

“This is a park for let’s sake not school,” she added throwing her hands in the air. “You learn everywhere and every time,” he said.

“Go to a school if you want to learn and to a park if you want to have fun,” she said. “Who would love to play?” A man asked.

“Says who?” Ciscoo scoffed at her words. “Anyone?” The man asked but everyone kept mute, seeing how the second guy was defeated, they were scared.

“For the last time!” He announced. Thea who was unaware of the situation answered, “ME”

All eyes were on her but her gaze was on Cisco, “let’s put our hands together for this Miss…” The man trailed off since he didn’t know her name.

“Robert,” Cisco said on her behalf. “Let’s clap for Miss Robert who will be facing our long time champion,” he said and everyone clapped.

Everything he said sounded like gibberish to Thea, more like he was communicating in an alien language.

“You are asked to play,” Cisco whispered to her ear snapping her back to consciousness. “I don’t want to,” she replied.

“You volunteered,” he whispered back. “I didn’t,” she argued. “You said ME out loud,” he reminded.

“That answer was meant for you not for whatever question it was he asked,” she said through a gritted teeth since all eyes are now on them.

“Too bad no one knows that,” he said. “Tell them I don’t want to play,” she said. “I don’t like lying,” he said.

“Lying? You are not going to lie, it is the truth that I don’t want to play,” she said. “But it would sound like lie to them,” he replied.

“Is this a set up?” She asked. “No, there is no way it is,” he denied. “If I find Iut it is, I swear I am going to remove that mask. Lets see who will get skinned alive if I do,” she threatened.

He smirked as he watched her sit on the plastic chair made for a player. He watched her play and to everyone amaze, she won twice.

“We now have a new winner Miss Robert!” The guy announced holding her hand, Thea just stared at the board with surprise written all over her face.

‘I won the game,’ she thought. “You have a cash award of five thousand dollars!” He announced and her eyes widened.

He gave her the cash award and a handshake, “thank you,” she appreciated as everyone clapped for her.

“Thank you so much!” She scream as she jumped on Cisco. “Why are you thanking me?” He asked.

“You forced me to play the game, if not for you I won’t be holing five thousand dollars. You are the best!” She whisper yell that last part with her arm still around his neck.

“Miss Robert, don’t you think we are too close?” He asked and she let go of him. “I’m sorry, I was just to happy,” she apologized.

“It’s fine,” he replied. They walked away from the crowd, they strolled around the park not playing any game.

“Thanks for today, if it was not for you I would have probably cried my eyes out,” she said with a chuckle.

“See why you needed the food?” He asked. “You were right, I would not have had the energy for this,” she admitted.

“What else do you want to do?” He asked. “I think you have done more than enough for me, I wasted half of your day,” she said feeling guilty.

“Don’t sound like they, it was my decision to fix your mood,” he said and she blushed. They stared at the kids run around happily, “haven’t you ever wished to return to being a child?” She asked.

She did not wait for his reply as she continued, “they have nothing to worry about, their lives is always fun. No bills to pay, they don’t have to worry about job vacancies, and adults stuffs. I wish I was like them all the time,” she concluded.

“You are right but they are going to grow up too, why not accept the responsibilities?” He asked but got no response.

“Will you accept a job offer?” He asked.
