Thea was still searching for Vin with the phone on her ear, “tell me where you are and I will come and meet you,” she said.

“Why are you so desperate to see me?” He asked. “I won’t use the word desperate,” she said still looking around hoping to get a glimpse of him.

“Fine but I can’t stay long, I have to be somewhere,” he said and she nodded. “It’s fine by me, I have to head home too,” she replied.

“Stay where you are, don’t move just wait for me,” he said coming out of his car, she was backing him so he took slow steps towards her.

He stopped behind her and gave her a light tap on the shoulder, “pretty voice,” he call and she turn to face him.

“You almost gave me a heart attack,” she ended the call and held her chest. “When was that?” He inquired.

“Just now,” she replied. “I thought I won’t see you,” she added and he felt his heart race. It was the best thing he felt, listening to his crush indirectly confess her feelings.

“So you missed me,” he teased. “I’m not sure if I did, but I feel guilty and I want to apologize in person for leaving without notice,” she apologized

“You have been forgiven,” he said cupping her cheek. “You look tired, did you stress yourself?” He asked.

“No, I actually had fun,” she giggled. “Really?” He asked. “Yes, do you want to hear about it?” She asked.

“I will love to, but I have to leave. I just wanted to see and hear your voice too,” he said and she blush.

“Get going then,” she said removing his hand from her cheeks. “Are you angry?” He asked.

“I dare not,” she said and he chuckled. “I’ll make up for our ruined date,” he said and she nodded.

“See you around pretty voice,” he said walling away. “Vin,” she called and he turned to face her. “You are good with nicknames,” she said and he winked.

She halt a cab and went home, while Vin went home too.

They were having dinner when Vin got home, he took a seat beside his mom facing Allison. “You are late,” Mr. Kings said.

“Sorry dad,” he apologized and glanced at his brother who looked angry, he faced his food not sparing anyone a glance.

“I saw your music video it was perfect, you are indeed the best,” he complimented. “Thanks, Dad,” she smiled.

“Did you watch it?” Allison asked Cisco. “I don’t have time for such,” he replied and she stared away.

She decided to ask Mrs kings who has been quiet all this while, “did you watch it, mom?” She asked. “I don’t watch films where my daughter-in-law dresses half-naked dancing with other guys,” she retorted.

“She is not your daughter in law mom, she didn’t say yes to my proposal,” Cisco said finally raising his head.

“We are here to talk about that,” Mr. Kings said. “There is nothing to talk about dad,” Cisco uttered.

“There is a lot to talk about,” he snapped. “You always have the perfect way to ruin one’s appetite,” he said dropping the cutleries.

“Allison I apologize once again on my son’s behalf,” he apologized. “My son did nothing wrong for you to apologize on his behalf or for him to apologize,” Mrs. Kings said.

“It’s fine mom,” Cisco said. “Nothing is fine, this is absurd,” she snapped.

“Dad should apologize on my behalf, though I don’t think I did something wrong, she requested it we just can’t turn down her request,” Cisco said.

Allison could not believe her ears, Vin stared at him totally surprised. He wondered where the daddy’s boy is, Cisco would always listen to their father, that was how he ended up with Allison.

“What the fùck are you talking about Francisco?!” Mr. King’s yell. “The truth, you apologized because she asked for it right not because I did something wrong,” he stated.

“I am apologizing to save your relationship,” he spat. “Your apology is like medicine after death, it’s useless,” he spat.

“Did you just call my advice useless?” He asked finding his new behavior unbelievable. “No I dare not, but if that is your interpretation it is useless then,” he replied.

Cisco is quite surprised at his behavior too, he assumed it’s because he found his cure. Maybe he followed everyone’s orders and wishes including that of Allison because he was sick.

He won’t let anyone dictate for him anymore, it’s time he lived like everyone else. “Talk to your son,” Mr. Kings growled before going to his room.

“You should get some rest mom,” Cisco advised before standing up too. “Good night Vin,” he added before he left.

“Good night,” Allison said reluctantly before following Cisco. “What got into your brother?” Mrs. Kings asked Vin.

“I don’t know,” he shrugged and peck her cheek. “See you tomorrow morning,” he said and left.

Mrs. Kings asked one of the maids to clear the table before going to their room (her and her husband’s). Mr. King was in the bathroom when she got into the room so she just sat on the bed.

He came out a few minutes later and she went in, she didn’t meet him in the room when she came out so she assumed he went to the guest room. He does that every time they are not on good terms, he sleeps in another room.

She wore her nightgown and got into bed, she was about to switch off the light when he walked in.

“What was that stunt your son pulled during dinner?” He asked angrily. “Why are you hell-bent on making him marry that girl?” She replied with a question.

“Allison is the best girl for him,” he answered. “In your opinion,” she retorted.

“What?” He inquired. “She is the best in your opinion, can’t you see you are the only one in support of that one side relationship? Not me, not Vin or Greg, not even Cisco wants her!” She yell.

“Don’t talk back at me woman!” He growled. “I only give answers to your questions and some nice explanation,” she replied

“Talk to your son,” he said. “And you should talk to your girl,” she replied and got under the duvet.

He ran his hand through his hair before getting into bed too.

“We are here,” Cisco said as he parked in front of Allison’s apartment, he was expecting her to get out of the car but she made no attempt of leaving.

“You heard me right?” He asked. “What is wrong with you?” She inquired turning to face him. “What got into you? We agreed to continue this relationship, I planned on playing the good girl in there but the best thing you can do is mess things up!” She screamed.

“Point of correction, you agreed to continue this relationship. It was your decision and yours alone,” he retorted.

“Deal with the new me Ally, I’m sick and tired of this prison called relationship with you,” he aaid.

She was short of words she simply started at him, is she taking things too far? Should she give him some space, maybe he will come around.

“Call me when you calm down,” she said and got out of the car, closing the door angrily. He drove away too.

Thea was done parking her things, she stared at her employee’s ID from the broadcasting company.

She made the right decision by leaving, she thought. She was about to lay on the couch when her phone rang.

“Thea,” Cisco called immediately she picked up. “Hey,” she said casually. “Did I wake you up?” He asked.

“No, I am taking care of some stuffs,” she answered. “Can you read me a book?” He requested.

“Sure,” she said and rushed to get bag, she got a book and opened it to a random page. “Ready?” She asked.

“Humm,” he hummed. She started reading from the book and after few minutes she didn’t hear a sound from him.

“Are you still there?” She asked but got no response, she assumed he was asleep so she cut the call.

She closed the book and went to sleep.

That same night, Greg was sited on the bed in his room with a book in his hand, and a laptop beside him. He was working on a company’s project, he rough his hair angrily as he couldn’t come up with anything.

His wife Octavia walked in, “you are still awake,” she said. “I have to finish this before going to sleep,” he replied.

She sat beside him and took a peek at the laptop, “your brother can help with this,” she said.

“Vin doesn’t like this stuffs” he said. “Your other brother, Cisco,” she said.

As expected he growled, “I warned you not to mention his name in my house!”

“He is your brother, why make yourself suffer unnecessarily when a call can help,” she said. “You are crossing a line avia, ” he said trying to hold back his anger.
