What? Is he going to just walk away? Why did he pretend to be a hero when he was not one? He just infuriated the guys and he is going to walk away without doing anything.

“Please don’t leave,” Mavis found herself pleading, he was the only ray of hope he has, it was late and people hardly use that road so she was stranded.

“Hey,” the first guy called and slap her cheek playfully. “He is a coward, no one is going to save you,” he said and the second guy laugh.

“On second thought I don’t want to go,” HE said and turned around. “This girl is too pretty to be hurt,” he said and with that, he pushed the second guy and rushed to Mavis.

He pulled her closer and hit the first guy. “Thanks,” Mavis appreciate.

“Don’t be too happy, we could still be in danger,” HE replied and her eyes widened, the first guy wiped his mouth and spit blood.

“You shouldn’t have done that,” the second guy said. “You are right, I kind of regret it,” HE said and they chuckled.

“Get him!” The first guy yelled and they charged toward them, HE kick one of them in the stomach and punch the other.

He pulled them by the collar before they could recover, he hit their head against each other and they fell unconscious.

“The cops are here,” Mavis said excitedly and HE moved away from the unconscious guys, HE stood beside Mavis and folded his hand behind.

“What happened here?” The first police to get out of the car asked. “They tried to rape me but this Mister saved me,” Mavis answered

“Ohh, are they okay?” The police asked. “We are sure they are alive but we can’t tell if they are okay,” Mavis replied.

“We will leave you guys to do your job,” HE said and walked away while Mavis ran after him. “Thank you,” She appreciated when she finally catch up with him.

“You are welcome,” he replied. “I’m Mavis by the way,” she introduced herself.

“I’m Greg,” he replied. “Gregory, nice name,” She said with a smile.

“Has anyone ever told you how stupid you are?” Greg asked and her eyes twitched. “I’m stupid?” She asked with her finger pointed at herself.

“Yes, I guess no one told you,” Greg mumbled. “Why will you lay such accusation? I’m not stupid I’m just powerless and a bit hungry,” she mumble that last part ett Greg heard her anyway.

“Don’t you have a phone?” He asked. “I do,” Mavis answered. “Doesn’t it work?” He asked. “It does,” she replied taking out her phone that was in her handbag.

“You could have dialed 911 but you decided to approach some stranger on the street,” he said and she made a sad pout.

“Do you agree with me that you are stupid?” Greg asked and she stared away. “I would have been raped before the cops get here,” she stated.

“You are a dummy,” He said and walked away, she smiled and followed him. “Are you following me?” Greg asked

“No, this way happens to lead to my house,” she replied. “Too bad we are heading the same way,” he muttered and shook his head negatively she smiled at him but he rolled his eyes.

Greg got into his car which happened to be parked in front of Mavis’s apartment. “Is this your place?” Greg asked.

“Yes, is that your car?” She asked. “Yes,” he answered.

“Are you stalking me?” She asked. “I don’t have time for that, this is just a coincidence,” he replied.

“You want me to believe that this is nothing but a coincidence?” She asked. “I don’t care what you believe,” he retorted.

“You…., do you like me?” She asked. “What?! Why will I like you? You are not my type and I am married!” He said showing her his wedding ring.

“You think I am going to believe that lie? It’s fine to like me, I’m single anyway,” she said and flip her hair backward.

“Hey,” he tried to say something but she shut him up. “Shhh! You don’t have to make lies up again, I understand that you are shy. You can come and visit me anytime you want,” Mavis said and walked into the building.

“Such a weirdo, I should have let them have fun with her, that will teach her some manners,” he muttered and unlock his car.

His phone rang as he got into the car it was Octavia, “Hey babe,” he said. “What’s taking you so long?” She inquired sounding slightly pissed.

“I’m on my way,” he replied. “Drive safely,” she said and cut the call. Mavis watched from her sitting room, she smiled as his sexy voice rang in her head.

“I just met my prince charming,” she giggled and went to the kitchen. She prepared noodles since that was the fastest food she could think of having, she dropped the plate of noodles on the table and walked to the fridge to get a bottle of water.

Her phone rang as she sat on the chair. “Hey Thea,” she said excitedly. “Things are working out for you, you sound happy,” Thea said rolling on her bed.

“And you sound dull,” Mavis replied eating her noodles. “I am really angry right now,” Thea stated.

“Angry? Who got on your nerves? Is it Allison?” Mavis questioned. “It’s Cisco! I wish I could chop him to pieces right now,” she said folding her fist.

“And you would be arrested for murder,” Mavis replied. “No one would know, I will be extra careful,” she said.

“I’ll come and visit you in prison, I’ll bring you some clothes and food,” Mavis said drinking from the cup of water in front of her.

“Gosh! I feel like murdering you too,” Thea said. “Don’t! My sin is not as great as that of Mr. King,” she said.

“You are right, you can still be spared,” Thea muttered. “What was his sin anyway?” Mavis asked.

“He asked me to choose a beautiful dress for his girlfriend,” Thea replied. “Did you?” Mavis asked.

“No, I would never choose a dress for another lady! How could he ask me to do such a thing? Is he trying to show off?” She ranted while Mavis rubbed her head in frustration.

“Thea Robert! Calm down, will you?” Mavis requested. “How can I calm down? I would have appreciated it if the dress was for me but it wasn’t! He was up to something!” She screamed.

“You sound jealous, why are you jealous?” Mavis asked. “I’m not jealous, I’m just angry,” she defends herself.

“You feel like punching daylight out of the girl and you feel unexplained anger toward Cisco for asking you to pick a dress for another girl, don’t you?” Mavis asked

“Yes,” she answered. “That is the definition of jealousy girl, you have feelings for your boss’s girlfriend,” Mavis blurted.

“I don’t, I like someone else,” she denied. “Who is this someone?” Mavis asked.

“He even asked me to be his plus one on Thursday, Cisco is just an annoying jerk,” she replied. “Fine, fine, I give up, I found my prince charming today,” she blurted.

“Prince charming? What are you talking about?” Thea asked. Mavis explained everything to her not leaving a single detail.

“I know he lied about his marital status,” she said. “What if he didn’t? What will you do if he is married?” Thea asked.

“He isn’t, he can’t be! I finally found my soulmate and you want him to be married? Don’t be an enemy!” She screamed and Thea laughed.

“Be logical Mavis, you said he showed you his wedding ring, he is married,” she stated. “Everything was too much for a coincidence, he is into me Thea he is just shy,” Mavis stated with great conviction.

“He has married Mavis,” Thea replied. “I don’t care, he is mine, I can feel it,” Mavis stated and hugged herself.

“You are free to keep dreaming, I got to go,” Thea said and cut the call

Thea decided not to have dinner after her long conversation with Mavis she had her bath and wore her nightgown.

It was not transparent but it was sexy on her, she took her phone from the dressing table and sat on the couch.

She surf the internet and played with her hair, everything was boring and annoying to her.

“I should go and have a swim,” she concluded and stood up, she opened her wardrobe to pick up her swimsuit when she heard a knock on the door.

“It’s open,” she said and the Cisco walked in, she rolled her eyes at the sight of him. “What do you want?” She asked still going through her wardrobe.

“Aren’t you going to have dinner or do you want me to feed you?” He asked. “I’m not hungry, you can leave if that is all,” she said and he frowned, he was worried about her but she was just going to ignore him.

“Are you free on Thursday night?” Cisco asked.
