“You don’t hate me do you?” Cisco asked. “I don’t… but,” she shuttered.

“Please, let me meet my son,” he pleaded. “Fine,” she agreed.

“Can I meet him tomorrow?” Cisco asked. “Yes, sure,” she replied and he hugged her.

“Hey,” she pushed him away. “Sorry,” he apologized after he realized what he had done.

“I have to get back to work, excuse me,” Thea said and tried to walk away but he held her arm.

“Where can we meet?” He asked. “My house,” she replied.

“Your address?” He asked, she picked a pen from her pocket, wrote it on his palm, and walked away.

Thea rolled on her bed as Cisco’s meeting with Davis filled her thoughts, she wondered what was going to happen.

Will Davis like him? Will they get along? They have met once but that was not intentional and Davis might have felt comfortable because he was with Mitchell.

He will be visiting without Mitchell, what if Davis gets scared?

Why is she worried that they won’t get along? Shouldn’t she be excited about the fact they might never get along?

“You are still up,” Mrs. Robert said as she walked in, the door was slightly opened and the lights were on that catching her attention.

“Yeah,” Thea replied and sat up. “Is something wrong or you couldn’t sleep?” Mrs. Robert asked and sat on the couch.

“Mom,” she called and moved closer to the edge of the bed. “Please don’t be mad,” she pleaded.

“Why will I be mad? Did you do something wrong?” Mrs. Robert asked. “Kind of, please understand me,” she pleaded.

“What is it? You can tell me, I will understand as long as you didn’t murder someone,” Mrs. Robert joked.

“Of course not, why will I kill anyone,” she chuckled nervously. “So, what is it?” Mrs. Robert asked.

“It’s about Davis, I met… his father,” she blurted with her head bowed. “I don’t understand, you dreamt about him?” Mrs. Robert asked confusedly

“No… I know I told you a different story but… He is alive,” she stated and Mrs. Robert gasped lowly.

“You lied to me?” Mrs. Robert queries. “You promised to understand,” she reminded her.

“But you made a fool out of me!” She snapped. “That is not true, I knew you were going to be mad and would not understand me. I just wanted you to forgive me and my son,” Thea replied fiddling with her finger.

“Why won’t I forgive you? Whatever happened must be a mistake, I will always understand you because you are my daughter,” she said and moved closer to her.

She sat beside her and rested Thea’s head on her shoulder, Thea closed her eyes as she inhaled and exhaled.

“What do you mean by you met him?” Mrs. Robert asked. “At the grocery store yesterday, we ran into each other,” she replied.

“Does he know about Davis?” Mrs. Robert asked. “Yeah, he found out yesterday,” Thea answered.

“You kept Davis a secret? Why?” She inquired quite displeased. “I… I don’t know, he has a family now,” she answered and raised her head gently.

Mrs. Robert’s jaw dropped as she stared at Thea as if she had grown horns.

“I was scared you would react, I knew you would be ashamed of me. However, I want you to know I did nothing wrong mom I loved him but he couldn’t get over his first love,” she explained with tears flowing out of her eyes.

“Hey,” Mrs. Robert console and rest her head on her shoulder again, Thea sobbed silently.

“Now that he knows, what does he want? Does he want to take responsibility?” Mrs. Robert asked.

“He wants to be a part Of his life but I don’t think that would be a good idea, Davis will forever be an illegitimate son it would haunt I don’t want my son to get hurt,” she explained.

“What if he doesn’t get hurt, let him meet his father he will understand everything with time,” Mrs. Robert assured.

“You are so confident mom,” Thea chuckled sadly. “Get into bed, it’s time to sleep,” Mrs. Robert said.

“I am not a kid, I am a mother,” Thea reminded her. “I know but you will always be my baby,” Mrs. Robert pecks her head.

Cisco smiled as he got dressed, he planned on going to Thea’s house first. He couldn’t wait to meet his son, he hummed a song as he wondered what type of wristwatch to wear.

“You look happy,” Chloe who has been watching from the door said. “Aren’t I allowed to be?” He questioned.

“You always twist my words,” she uttered with a fake smile, she won’t give up on him.

She plans to do everything possible to make him fall in love with her. If he loved her once, he can love her again.

“I don’t, I only reveal what you intend,” he replied as he finally picked a watch. “I know you don’t feel comfortable around me but I am still Mitchell’s mom. Try to get along, do this for her not for us,” she said and left.

Cisco clench his teeth as he walked back to the mirror, he fixed his tie and walked out of the room.

“Daddy,” Mitchell called as she sighted him walking down the stairs. “Baby,” he smiled and rushed down the stairs.

“Wow, you look happy,” he said as he carried her to the dining table. “She is, she had a good night’s rest,” Chloe replied as she dished Mitchell’s food

Cisco understood what she was implying but was not in the mood to argue with her so he ignored her, he made Mitchell sit on his lap.

Chloe pushed her food to him and he started feeding Mitchell who is with excited.

“Someone is hungry,” he teased. “Davis,” she called and Cisco was stunned.

“Yeah, who is that? She has been calling that name since yesterday,” Chloe said and pulled a seat herself.

“I don’t know,” he lied and stared at Mitchell who chew slowly. He wondered how she recalled the name, they met once and his name is instilled in her brain.

It must be a result of their relationship, he peck her head and she giggled.

Cisco didn’t have breakfast, he left after feeding Mitchell.

Cisco drove faster than usual he was excited to meet his family, and he couldn’t wait to hold Davis.

He stood in front of the apartment nervously and pressed the doorbell.

“Good morning,” Sol greeted. “Morning,” he replied nervously.

“I am here to see Thea,” he informed. “Who are you?” Sol questioned

Davis ran into his arms. “Davis,” Sol called trying to get him back from Cisco.

“It’s fine, I am his dad,” he assured and Sol laughed. “Sol, who is there?” Allison asked coming from the kitchen.

She looked the same or should he say prettier, she must have trimmed her hair constantly to maintain the same length.

“Mom, this dude claims he’s Davis’s father,” Sol laughed.

“Francisco,” Allison called surprised, she knew he was coming but she was still surprised.

“Allison,” he called with a smile. “You know him?” Sol asked.

“Umm… Sol go and get Thea,” Allison instructed and he glared at Cisco before walking away.

“Come in,” she gestured and he walked inside with Davis giggling in his arm.

“Your son?” Cisco asked referring to Sol. “Yes,” Allison replied.

“Gadma,” Davis stretch his arm to Mrs. Robert who walked out of her room, Cisco put Davis down so he rushed to Mrs. Robert.

“You must be Francisco,” she said and he nodded. “Nice to meet you, ma’am,” he shook her hand.

“Cisco,” Thea called and he turned to face her. “Why does it seem like I am the only one who doesn’t know him,” Sol said with a raised brow.

“This is Davis’s dad Sol,” Thea introduced. “I thought he is dead,” Sol blurted

“He came back from the land of the dead,” Allison joked.

“Davis, that’s your dad you are luckier than I am. My dad is never coming back,” Sol uttered slightly hurt

“Hey, it’s fine,” Mrs. Robert consoled. “Have your sit,” Allison gestured at the couch and he sat.

Mrs. Robert started they talked about a few things and Davis was comfortable with him.

“Are you sure he is Davis’s dad?” Sol asked. “What are you insinuating Sol?” Allison inquired.

“They look nothing alike, he got his looks from me,” Sol bragged.

“I guess,” Cisco chuckled nervously. “You are handsome,” Sol compliment

“Sol,” Davis called and Sol tried to carry him but he wrapped his arm around Cisco’s neck.

“You little trickster,” Sol tickle him and he laughed hard but he didn’t lose his arm around Cisco’s neck.

“I don’t know what happened in the past but he looks like a good guy,” Mrs. Robert whispered to Thea.

” I have a request,” Cisco blurted and the room was silent.

“Can I take him to my parent?” Cisco asked. “No, he is trying to steal my best friend!” Sol screamed in defense.
