“I don’t,” Chloe’s response was simple and she walked to her room.

Victor sat up and dip his hand into his hair as he stared at the ceiling, he remembered how everything started.

#Flashback

Victor was sited on the sofa in their house with Chloe when she received a text message from Greg.

“Why doesn’t he understand,” Chloe groaned getting Victor’s attention. “Who is it?” Victor inquired.

“Gregory King,” she replied. “Don’t you like his brother?” Victor asked.

“Yes, but he is the shy type. He isn’t admitting his feelings,” she replied with a sad pout.

“And his brother?” He asked.

“He confesses his feelings every day, but too bad I don’t like him,” she answered. “Give Greg a chance,” Victor urged.

“Nope, I am going to wait until Cisco is ready,” Chloe replied and her phone rang, she pressed the green button almost immediately since it displayed Cisco’s name.

“Hi Francisco,” she uttered excitedly and Victor rolled his eyes. “Can you come over, there is something I want to tell you,” he requested.

“Sure, I’ll be there,” she replied and hang up. “I think he is finally going to confess,” she giggled excitedly and ran to her room, minutes later she walked out already dressed.

“What do you think Victor?” Chloe asked with a smile.

“Where are you going?” Victor questioned back instead. “To see Francisco, he wants to tell me something,” she answered.

“It’s late Chloe,” he complained. “This is what I have dreamt of all my life, don’t ruin this moment for me,” she warned and picked up her phone left on the sofa.

“When are you coming home?” Victor asked. “I’ll spend the night if he confesses his feelings, but if he doesn’t I’ll head straight home. Either way, you are free to go to bed,” she said and blew him a kiss before rushing out of the house.

“Love is crazy,” Victor muttered and went to his room, Chloe didn’t return that night.

The next day he got a call from the police that his sister was in critical condition at the hospital.

He rushed to the hospital address given to him by the police. He met his sister on the bed fighting for her life, she woke up two days later and requested that her death be announced.

They fled to Singapore and have been in hiding ever since, Mavis knew he left the country with a girl but had no idea who.

Victor walked to his room and collapsed on the bed, he wished the culprit would be found and their lives would go back to normal.

Thea spent the night in the library, while everyone else was looking for her.

Cisco was worried the anonymous person took her, he found it hard to sleep the previous night without her.

He no longer needs her voice to sleep but her presence and safety are enough for him, he tried calling Mavis but her phone was switched off.

He was coming from the kitchen, he went to talk to Fiona. He planned on visiting the police station if she doesn’t return by noon.

Thea walked out of the library massaging her neck, it was hurting since she slept in an uncomfortable position.

“Darling!” He screamed and rushed to hug her but she rolled her eyes at him, he hugged her tightly but she made no move to hug him back.

“Where have you been? I was so worried about you, are you hurt?” He rushed his words as he checked out her body.

“I am fine, you can stop worrying now,” she said and shrugged his hands off.

She walked past him to the stairs and he stood with his mouth partially opened, he wanted to apologize but his voice was suddenly lost.

He wanted to follow her but he was too scared to do that too, he thought he would hurt her more If he attempted to fix their relationship.

Thea went straight to the bathroom when she got to her room, the water was cold but she cared less.

All she wanted was to feel the water on her skin, she scrub her body gently as she recalled how he ignored her the previous night.

I mean nothing to him… He doesn’t love me, he needs me around because of his health. He will get rid of me once I am useless.

Why can’t he love me? Why does he pretend to love me? What can I do to make him care?

Thea muttered in her head as tears flowed with the water running down her head.

She turn off the shower and picked up a towel, she wrap it around her body and picked a creamed color gown that stopped below her knee.

She walked down the stairs and met Cisco at the same spot she left him but he was on call.

She ignored him and walked towards the door but he ended the call and ran after her.

“Thea,” he called and she halt. “Have breakfast before you leave,” he said.

“I am not hungry,” she replied and wanted to leave but he spoke again.

“At least let’s talk…., about last night,” he trailed off for a while.

“We will talk about us once you have sorted whatever is wrong with you,” she stated and left.

“Darn!” He groaned and hit the sofa, he didn’t want to lose her but he is powerless too.

Thea boarded a cab to the psychiatric hospital, she walked straight to the garden and found her mom chatting with a nurse.

Her hair was neat and she looked all okay, the nurse noticed her presence and gestured at her.

Her mom turned around and was on her feet immediately, Thea smiled as she walked closer.

“My daughter looks sad,” Her mom uttered despite the smile on her face. “Mom,” she chuckled and they hugged.

“Is something bothering you?” Mrs. Robert asked immediately after they disengaged from the hug.

“Nothing mom, you look beautiful by the way,” she compliments. “Thanks, this nurse borrowed me her makeup,” she said and pointed at the nurse who was already standing close to them.

“Thank you,” Thea appreciated the nurse. “Excuse me,” the nurse said and walked away.

“Why does my daughter look disturbed?” Mrs. Robert inquired as they walked away from the garden to the hall.

“I am fine mom. You should worry about yourself alone,” she replied.

“No, I have to worry about you. You have been alone for a long time,” Mrs. Robert stated. “Now tell me what’s wrong.”

“I am just stressed,” she answered simply. “Relationship stress?” Mrs. Robert asked.

She denied it immediately. “No it’s from work, it’s work stress.”

They sat on a bench and Thea stared at the ground as she fondle the tip of her gown.

“Are you sure or you are lying to your mother? I am fine now, Thea so don’t think of lying to me I will detect it right away,” she said and cupped my cheeks.

“Tell me, baby girl, what’s wrong?” She asked and Thea rested her head on her shoulder.

“Can I stay like this mom? I think I will be fine if I am like this,” she said and close her eyes.

“You are going through a lot,” her mom said and pat her back gently.

“That is good,” Allison said and nodded slowly as the photographer showed her some pictures.

“I’m glad you like them,” he replied and Jerry tap Allison softly.

“You can see I am busy unless your eyes have decided to forsake you,” she uttered rudely, she has been snapping at everyone and trying her best to be as busy as possible.

She feels guilty for what she did to Thea and wanted to get rid of her feelings for Cisco but it isn’t that easy for her.

She thinks about him in her spare time and it drives her crazy.

“I am sorry but someone is here to see you,” he informed and she turned to look at him.

“Is your brain fried? What happened to the rule of no visitor during work?” She asked.

“I am sorry but it’s Mr. Kings,” he responded. “Francisco kings?” She asked shocked.

“No, his dad,” he replied. “What does that old man what?” She muttered angrily and turned to the photographer.

“I will be right back,” she excused herself and Jerry led the way.

“Allison,” Mr. Kings called excitedly. “Thought you abandon me since I tried to murder your future daughter-in-law,” she said as she walked closer

“I forgot about that,” he replied and she chuckled. “I see, what brings you here? You aren’t here for chit-chat, are you?” She asked.

“I’m here for business,” he responded. “Francisco, did you two break up?”

“The question should be, did you break up with Francisco? He was never in a relationship with me,” she said and smiled. “The answer to your question is, I want to.”

“You can’t,” Mr. Kings retorted.
