As soon as Valerie was seated and locked in the car, she placed her head on tbe sterling and bursted into tears.

The bastard! How dare he make fun of her? How could he?

She wept miserably on the car seat, her heart tearing up.

First, she lost her beauty, Jericho was hurt and now, she just officially broke up with her long time boyfriend. Why’s her life so f**ked up, huh? What the hell is going on?

“Oh…” She closed her eyes and wept.

Finally, she sniffed and wiped her face, then started the car and left.

Getting home, she was a little surprised to find Sally in her room. Well, she was surprised because she didn’t inform her she was coming.

“Hey girlfriend!” Sally beamed and stood up from the bed where she had been playing with her laptop.
“Hey, what’s up?”.

“Hi” Valerie mumbled morosely as she walked in and dropped her shopping bags on the table.

“Valerie? Is there a problem?” Sally asked, seeming really surprised as she had been expecting her friend to look all lively as always.

Valerie wanted to say she was fine, but hell no, she couldn’t even lie about it as her experession exposed everything.

Sally knew there was something wrong and instantly, she stood up and rushed to her and that was when Valerie broke down in front of her.

“I’ve lost everything, Sally” she whimpered tearfully. “I’ve lost everything”

“Hey… Valerie, stop it. Come here” Sally cooed and pulled her in a hug.

It was almost an hour…

Valerie and Sally sat facing each other on the bed with Valerie holding a cold glass of water.

“But…how about you just sneak around when you know he’s awake?” Sally asked. “You could find a way to sneak to him and… tell him what happened so he could find a way to get rid of the spots. What do you think?” Sally suggested, but Valerie shook her head miserably.

“That won’t work” She sniffed. “That guy – Ethan – he looks so dangerous and I have a feeling he’s gonna carry out his threat if he really sees me around Jericho”

“Gosh! Seriously? What’re you gonna do now, Val? How about… you tell your parents about this so they involve the police?”

“Are you kidding me? You want me to involve my parents and the police? For guys that could easily put some ugly spots on my face even without touching me? For guys that could lift men off my feet and make me hang in the air still without touching me? You should know the involvement of the Police is pointless, Sally”.

“Yeah, you’re right. Those guys are creep”.

For a short while, the two ladies were silent.

“And that Lincoln” Sally suddenly said. “That guy is nothing less than a jerk. No wonder I’ve never liked him. Gosh! He’s not even handsome like you always hype him to be. It’s a good thing you’re over that guy already, darling. He truly doesn’t deserve someone like you”.

Valerie said nothing as her major concern at the moment was her face. Well, Lincoln was slightly part of it, but her major concern was her face .

“Come on, Val. Everything would be fine, okay?” Sally held her hand and said reassuringly, but they could only do little to Valerie’s situation.

“Come on. How about we go out for some fun?” She beamed but Valerie withdrew her hand from hers.

“The last time you asked us to go out for fun, Sally, I woke up the next morning with some spots” Valerie replied and Sally’s eyes dimmed.

“Valerie…!” She called with a gasp and Valerie laughed.

“Fine. Let’s go” she concluded and stood up, realizing she needed something to clear her head off.

They had gone to the amusement park and the two ladies had so much fun as there was a lot to do – so much to watch and games to play.

They bought some snacks, ice creams and paid extra cash for some naughty games.

Valerie had laughed real hard on some of the jokes and for the moment, she had completely forgotten all about her worries. Only for the moment, tho.

Along the line, she did soemthing that gripped Sally’s attention. She had given some money to a little boy who seemed to be a beggar.

“Huh?” Sally flinched. “since when did you start giving out alms, Val?”

Valerie smiled and licked from her ice cream. Then she replied:
“I don’t know, Sally”.

They had spent a very long time at the park and in the end, Valerie was so grateful Sally had taken her out to laugh away her problems.

In the dark✍️

Derek stood in front of the woman – Hapitha as she fixed her things on the table.

“Do you think Jericho would survive the shot?” He asked, his voice as cold as it had ever been.

“He might. And even if he does, I wouldn’t have a problem because I already conveyed the message I wanted to” Hapitha replied without turning to look at him.

“The lady… Valerie, shouldn’t she be killed? She had seen my face” Derek asked but Hapitha snapped to look at him.

“Hell no, Derek. Not her, she’s too important. Let her be”

Derek gritted his teeth. Damn it!

“Fine…” He groaned. “But, she had been looking pretty hot when I saw her. Can I touch her? Dirty her up?”

Hapitha turned around to face her table again.

“Of course, you can. Just be sure you don’t kill her” she replied and a grim smile crept onto his lips.

Klaus took the bowl of colored water from the bed and went to the table to keep it.

He took out the napkin from it, squeezed it dey and was on his way out with the bowl when he heard a light sound from the bed.

He turned quickly to have a look and unexpectedly, Jericho’s eyes were open. He was awake!
