JERICHO’S WEAKNESS Episode 39

Klaus was driving without direction. He didn’t know what to do; didn’t know where to head.

At that point, he couldn’t tell if he was anxious because he needed Ethan to heal Valerie so they could know where Hapitha was, or because he really didn’t want Valerie to die.

Damn! So many things could go wrong! Jericho would definitely kill Ethan if anything happens to Valerie.

He continued driving aimlessly on the road until it got to a point, he had to screech to a halt.

“Damn it!” He slammed his hands on the sterling and lost hope.
He didn’t know where else to go.

Suddenly, his phone awakened with a ring and he checked to see it was Ethan.

Oh!! Thank goodness!!
Without reluctance, he picked the call and put it on speaker.

“Hello? Ethan?? Where are you??” He threw multiple questions at him, but there was no reply.

“Ethan?” He called again and that was when a reply was heard.

“Klaus, I need you to meet me up” his voice was plain.

“Meet you up? Wh… Where?” Klaus was confused.

“I’ll be sending the location to your screen soon. Come along with Jericho”.

And he ended the call.

Immediately, his phone beeped with a message alert and he checked to see the location. But why was Ethan asking him to come over there? And why was he sounding so plain on the phone?

Could it be possible…he wanted them to talk about what happened to Valerie?

He copied the address and sent it as a text message to Jericho, telling him to meet him there as well since Ethan had requested.
Then, he zoomed off.

Jericho was still with Valerie in the room, sitting on the edge of the bed with her hand in his.

Her hands were growing so cold and her face getting more pale and they kept bothering Jericho a lot. Where the hell was Ethan?? How could he be so much of a coward to do such a thing to Valerie?? How could he???

Swears, he was definitely going to make him pay dearly if Valerie goes.

His phone beeped and he checked to see it was a message from Klaus – giving him a location an telling him to meet up there.
Huh? Why?

He searched for his contact and called him instead and when he picked, it was obvious he was driving.

“Hey, what’s going on?” He inquired.

“I don’t know, Jeri. But Ethan called and asked me to meet him there – together with you”. Klaus replied and Jericho arched a brow.

“He didn’t say why?” He asked.

“No. But I feel it has to do with Valerie. Are you coming along?”

There was a short silence.

“I don’t …I don’t know. I can’t just leave Valerie all alone. You should go ahead and tell him to get down here and take care of the mess he created”. Jericho answered, his tone sounding a little angry again.

“Okay, then. I’ll do that”.
And the call ended.

Jericho dropped the phone and looked at Valerie, squeezing her palms tightly into his.

She’s been through a lot because of them – because of him.

First, she lost her boyfriend, was threatened by Ethan, almost got raped by Draco, now this?

Mercies, as soon as she’s awake, he was definitely going to restore her beauty and give her her freedom because she needed it. Yes, she did.

Klaus parked the car at the location Ethan had given to him and scrutinized it. It was a house – a small white house.

He opened the door and stepped out of the car with his phone, then marched towards the gate-less house. But just as he passed the first boundary, he felt something grip him hard at his joints.

“Urgh!!” He grunted and fell on his knees, spitting out blood instantly.

His hands went over his ribs as the excruciating pains drove him wild. What’s happening??

Ivy sat blearily sat blearily on the bed, looking at the doctor as he scribbled something down in his notes.

Her mother was there, her friends were there, and her head was still bald.

“”I’m really sorry, Miss” the doctor looked up at her and said, adjusting his medicated glasses.
“But after series of tests, we still cannot find anything medically wrong with you that could’ve caused such reactions on your hair”.

“But how possible?” Ivy asked ruefully. “I need an explanation, doctor. Explain how my hair could just possibly fall off without a medical condition. Explain it to me!!”

“Ivy, calm down…”

“Don’t tell me to calm down” she rasped to her mum.
“I can’t just have my head like this, mum. Something has to be done! Please…!”

The door opened almost immediately and Lincoln showed up.

But his jaws dropped and he froze at the door when he saw Ivy in that state.

It’s been almost an hour already.

Jericho had kept checking the time aimlessly, wondering what the progress was with Ethan and Klaus. Sincerely, he hoped they were on their way home already.

He was about picking up his phone to check up on them when a call came in from Klaus. At last.

“Hello?” He called when he picked the call, but the reply was slow.

“You really need to come over here, Jericho” Klaus replied.
