JERICHO’S WEAKNESS Episode 61

Valerie’s white eyes went open and staring at the ceiling, she could tell she was in a different place.

Her eyes went closed again, then she opened them slowly and confirmed she was indeed, in a strange place.

Atlancia. The name resounded in her head.

Releasing a light groan, she forced herself from the floor and looked around. Trees and bushes. That was all she could see.

She checked her self and confirmed she was still safe and intact. Oh God! Could she really be in Atlancia? In Jericho’s place? Where does she start from?

Her hand moved to her tummy and instantly, with the crazy urge, she ran to a side of the bush and threw up.

Her throat itched as she grunted while throwing it all out our and by the time she was done, her mouth was tasting sour.

“Are you okay?” She suddenly heard a voice and with fear, turned quickly to see it was a boy – a young looking boy.

Oh…

He was putting on some clothes, but didn’t look as modern as the ones they had on earth. And he had some woods with him.

“I saw you throwing up and was wondering…Are you really fine?” He asked again.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m fine, thank you” Valerie replied, wiping her lips with the back of her palm.

“Yeah?” the boy mumbled to himself and chuckled, then looked at Valerie.

“Who are you?” He asked
keenly.

“Um… Sorry, I don’t talk to strangers”: she muttered and began walking away.

“Your clothes…” The boy suddenly said, making her stop and turn to look at him.
“They’re different from ours”. He added.

Valerie’s heart skipped Immediately as she looked down at her dress. Oh God…! Was she in trouble.

“Well… they’re special designs” she answered and quickly and continued walking away.

“I’d love to have them as well” the boy said as he went after her and she stopped again.
“I mean, they’re beautiful and I would love it if you teach me or show me where you’d gotten them from. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone wear such in Atlancia”.

Valerie felt her head spin Immediately as her heart gave a mighty thud.

Atlancia.

Oh God! She was there! She was truly there! Hapitha didn’t lie to her!!

She paused and looked at the boy. Perhaps…he could he of help right?

“Do you live around here?” She asked, taking a step towards him.

“No. Nobody lives around here. I only came by to get some woods” he glanced at his hands which were holding the woods and Valerie nodded.

She could do this…

“Um…Do you know Jericho?” She asked, taking another step closer to him and the guy looked at her with an amazed look.

“You mean… Prince Jericho?” He scoffed and Jericho blinked hard.
Oh, damn it! She’d completely forgotten.

“How dare you call the Prince by his name?” He asked.

“I’m… I’m Sorry, I just..m” Valerie paused and touched her forehead. “it was a mistake.

“That’s a grave mistake that could’ve caused you your head. You should thank your stars I was the only one that heard you” the Boy paused and chuckled.

“Anyway, what do you want with him?”

Valerie moved her hair backwards.

“I um…. I was just asking. Is it possible for a person to meet with him?” She asked and the boy almost laughed.

“You’re one funny lady, you know?” He chuckled.
“Anyway, if you really want those answers, you should come with me”.

He turned around and started walking away. And Valerie, having no option, decided to follow him.
