Uju stopped stammering and slam her forehead then she rushed to the window side of obi’s car.
she look straight in obi’s eyes but obi stared at me directly with so much emotions,i shift away from his car.

why did he look at me with so much expressionless face?.
A guy came out from the store and walked past me since there was another red car beside where I stand.

he stopped when he saw my face filled with icecream even my hair. Uju tried walking out,the guy held her.

“Uju I want to believe you didn’t do this to her?”the guy said.
Uju who looked frustrated scoffed and look at obi with another innocent look,she is really good in acting.

“and why would I do that intentionally,I didn’t……. i..i was only warning her to stay away from Ifeoma’s boyfriend”she said while facing obi.

Obi didn’t say a word,he already stopped looking at me and tried whyning his window up when ujunwa suddenly put her hand so he won’t whyne up and leave.

The peaceful looking obi took his lips in and rolled his eyeballs at her icily.
“it wasn’t intentional,it was just a warning”she said.
“telling me what I didn’t ask,is that necessary at all”he said and brushed her hand away from his car window he whyned up and his car moved back slowly.

uju scoffed and pushed her weavon hair backwards then walk away.
Obi’s car drove directly past me,uju also went to her car.
are they having misunderstanding? I thought they are couples according to what she always say in the girls group chat…

I tried walking away as I wipe the cream off my face and hair since I am not with hanky.
the guy handed me one.I just saw his necklace,it was signed spark.no doubt he is a celebrity too.
“thank you”I said and collected the hanky from him with respect (both hands).
As I wiped my face,he brought out another one and wiped my hair till there was no ice cream and I feel better.

“you’re okay right?*he asked.
I nodded,I couldn’t even speak.I was sad uju did all these to me despite how I always look up to her maybe one day we can be friends….
she just embarrassed me in public and her friends took videos meaning they will post it as an update.

“I’m good”I curtised and tried leaving
“hold still,I will drop you”he said.
I was forced to smile,
it will be a pleasure but right now I feel like being alone.
“don’t say no,I mean no harm”he said and beeped his car,it sounded as it brought out orange light and I had no choice than to follow him.I sat at the front seat,he turned to sit at the back seat. His car window was tinted too I watch it come up automatically.

“hope you don’t have any cold conditions?”he asked.
“hmm no sir”I added.
“we are cool then”he said and turn on the car Ac.
The drive was quiet, no one spoke to each other.Until he picked a call

📱 obi,I will join you soon!
📱 I’m on my way!!
📱 okay,okay”I heard him say.
he dropped his phone.
he must be close to obi,I thought. no wonder he was able to confront uju.

soon,he dropped me off.
“thank you”I said and turned to leave I got to the gate and heard his voice.
“you didn’t tell me your name”he mentioned..
“Cheta”i said simply.
“I’m Eric…friends right”he asked.
“sure”I nodded.
“see you some other time”he said and drove away.

Evening….
I tried untangling obi’s wrist chain from my own bead still unable to believe the goldsmith but the more I tried the more it seems my bead will cut..one will have to cut to leave the other and am not ready to loose my own bead,its so precious to me.

I should return it now like that.
I got to the waterfall,no one was there.I still tried the untangling.

should I just cut my own away so that it will be free from his own??
hmm even if I drop it like this he will still cut my own away cos it is has cheap as a vegetable compared to a gold worth #5million.

last last my own precious bead will cut and even if it will cut,let it not be from my hand.

I dropped it in a safe place,
a distant place ooo so that it won’t be found by thieves.I dropped it and hide beside the flowers and waited since he said I should stay away but I actually wants to see if he will cut it away or he will succeed in untangling it.

I waited…waited…waited…
no sign of him.I left when it was getting dark.The thought of seeing my father before returning to Clara’s mansion crossed my mind so I left.

I got to my father’s compound,
it was something else,even the door already hanged out.
no one was in…
no belongings was found.

I rushed to the next compound which was occupied by an old woman.
“good evening nne(mother)” I greeted

“fine girl like you,
may it not be well for death.Shey na your mama death suppose take away(is it your mother death suppose to take away)” the woman said.She’s known a talkative and besides a gossiper,a very old woman for that matter.

“old one do you know–

She cuts me.”have always known that your father okeke is a very bad and brutal man.He is the cause of your mothers death cos he always beats her when she was alive” she said…

ohh god! have never asked this woman to tell me the history of my family.
“old one,all those ones are already in the past.I came to see him but I found out that the house is empty” I said without patient..
I don’t want to know about my father since he doesn’t care about me, what I care to know about is my younger brother.

“ohh that one…
is that one a father..well he has pack out the second day you and your sister left and besides he is now wealthy even your brother now studied abroad”the old woman said.

this can’t be true..okon abroad? I won’t believe this woman until I hear from someone else.
I left and returned home.
Luckily for me,Mrs Clara hasn’t returned.

dressed in a royal apparel,I moved to and fro in my longue with a glass of wine..
the thought of me getting denied by my own birth right filled my heart.

the door opened,it was just a guard.
“my prince,I’m set”he said.
I followed him out.I’m actually going to the “Mirimi”(a special waterfall and a place for prayers).
I don’t believe in the myth,
I just like going there for relaxation.

the car stopped in a distinct place while my guard and I trekked to the water area.It is always the coldest at this time of the night…

My guard and I approached there.
I turned in full surprise when I met Obi in the waterfall.His eyes were just fixed in the waterfall as he stood there.

was he praying? or is he trying to remember something??..
the breeze the coldness made blew his head backwards..
He looked so ethereal with his sweet fingers dipped into the water.

“I suggest we step backwards, two people can’t stay here at the same time”my guard said.
“he will be the one to leave for me” I replied…

“You should vacate this place now, you don’t expect me to wait till you’re done” I said loudly… and the place is always a quiet one.

he turned slightly and I caught a glimpse of his handsomeness. This is the stupid person my sister always post everywhere. I wonder what charm he used on her.

“You are not deaf,are you?”I said.

“Watch how you speak to me if you don’t want me to shut it for you.Who do you think you are? You are Eze,a prince and so what? I am Obi,I don’t take things seriously because if I do I will have serious issues with you..

I know what I have outside and inside and nobody competes nor compare-Not even you eze or whatever thing you calk your name..
You don’t compare to me,
not like am bragging or something you and your entire kingdom together is what I,Obi will buy with just 3% of my wealth..

as per that,watch how you speak to me and don’t provoke me any further” he added warningly which surprised my guards and I.

all through he didn’t stop gazing at the waterfall neither did he turn to look at me.

“and what if I don’t watch my tongue? I asked.

“a housefly that refused to heed to my words will follow the casket to the grave….for the second time be warned” obi said still without turning.

my guards gasped.

“Who the hell are you?”I asked.
“be warned eze,do not interrupt my meditation session what I hate is noise.Watch your tongue I might not forgive next time” Obi said warningly. I got angry.No one had ever scolded me.
now a stranger did that.

“what if I don’t watch my tongue?” I shouted loudly.

He turned sharply and whispered softly.”then you bite it”…he said.

blood came out of my mouth,
I had just bitten my tongue.
