my tears kept streaming..
Dominic said I will infect him?
do I have infections and diseases?..
but that insult,the thought of that.
I dried my tears.

I couldn’t talk…I was surprised I cried maybe because I got shocked.

finally,I look in his face properly and remove my scarf.The car key in his hand dropped originally when our eyes locked.

“yes,am cheta”I said.
I smiled out tears and rushed out with the water he called “dirty”.

even the rich obi eats my food as a maid without complain,Obi doesn’t drink anyhow water but he never called mine “dirty”.

if obi can do those things humbly then who the hell is Dominic?

is he up to Obi in terms of wealth??
noooooo…not even 50% of what Obi is.

I was so soiled with pains
thank God it was me he said those words to and not the second maid.
god has his own way of making me identify disloyal friends.

I wiped my eyes and looked at the kitchen in front of me.The other maid rushed to me.

“Cheta I told you,he is rude and sassy”she said.I nodded as I dashed to do the dishes.
“tell me, what did he say to you?” she asked.
“nothing…just normal insults”I told her but I didn’t just tell her dominic and I are childhood friends.
“hmm sorry,don’t take it to heart”she said..
“take it to heart? seriously I have more important things to take to heart…besides I was expecting that from him” I said.
she beemed.

“that’s by the way…soo who is Dominic to Obi?”I asked.
“they are brothers..yes I mean cousins.Obi is one month older than Dominic”she added.
“OK…”I nodded and rinsed the plates twice

she cleaned her hand on the napkin and showed me the diet time table.
“spark boys are coming over….
“they have practice together so you should cook more cos jerry eats at midnights”she emphazised.

“okay okay”I said and look through the lists.I dropped it and went to put raw beef on the pan.
I turned,she was still standing.

“okay,you can go home and take care of your mother.I will cover up for your work”I told her.
she smiled and suddenly look in my face in a different way.
I traced her eyes,
it was the earring that Margaret bought for me two days ago.

does she likes it?
cos I don’t like it…am just wearing it for wearing sake.
“you can have it if you want”I said and cleaned my hand behind my butt then I took off the earring and offeree it to her.
she didn’t hesitate the offer.
I smiled.

“thank you…have never regret being your friend”she said.
“I have clothes if you want too, they are new also”I said…I saw this as an opportunity to dispose those short dresses Margaret bought for me earlier.

“omg!! you’re asking me if I want!
she beamed.
I told her where I kept them in my room,she ran like she was being chased.

I washed the beef and put them in a pressure pot to boil after adding the necessary spices.
I checked the days diet book again.

I’m cooking veggies and porridge for Jerry🍜
Rice and beef stew for Kelly🍛
mackerels and white yam for Eric🍵
Egg and plantain for obi.
I smiled…obi doesn’t eat much so am cooking his food last.

I took the yam in a tray and sliced it carefully.I took the first slice to peel.

“cheta am sorry,I never meant to hurt you”I heard and turned in full surprises.It was Dominic.
I shot him a fast glare and faced my work.

he need not to say sorry for showing his real color.
He moved closer,close enough to my side.I bowed and carried my yam tray to another side.

“baby am sorry”he said.
I looked at him when he called me baby,he took his lips in and look to the other side quietly.

“sir move away,you’re disturbing my work! my boss will soon be back and they will be upset if they don’t meet food”I told him.

“Just stop the “sir” you’re making me look like a stranger”he said.

I sighed and face my yam.
of course you’re a stranger after you insulted me and called me a disease that alone is enough to wipe off the friendship we shared in the pasts.

“cheta….

“Sir,I don’t know you…tell me who are you! I don’t know if you’re kidding or something but I don’t know you..
and please stop troubling me” I said. I stupidly regret telling him that I am cheta in the first instance.
I should have just played along.

“Cheta…am sorry”.

I moved out of the kitchen when the pressure from him was getting too much.

Dominic’s p.o.v😍
I smiled in admiration,
she has really grown…but what was wrong with me earlier? why didn’t I see that it was her Cheta!.
jeeeezzzz I just spoilt everything.

I hurried and cut up with her.I tried touching her,she moved away.
“baby let me explain”I said.

“what do you want to explain! you made me cry already–

“cheta…it’s not about that”I said.
“it’s about what?”she said.
“it is…..well,I just didn’t know it was you”I said.

she nodded absent mindedly and removed her scarf…
what a fucking face!!!

well its me chetachi” she said.
I took my lips in my mouth.
“I let you explain what is it about,Now you can’t talk.Why did you talk to a human being so rudely? and your answer is that you never knew it was me.

it was never about who it was,
it is about the pain the insult caused, fine I know am too local to be proud of…..so its nothing” she said and want to cry again.

I rushed to hold her,
she rushed away and walked up.

“Cheta…..

“sirrrrrrr!!!!! she answered without turning then moved in her room.
she felt hurt.

I started feeling guilty.
I walked up to her door and knocked quietly.
she didn’t open.

have never seen this type of cheta,her face is not funny at all.

soon I heard multiple car horns.
that sounds like a Lamborghini car.
Obi’s brand of car.
he’s back.

and cheta’s door opened immediately.
she opened it and I walked towards it
I looked in her face,she didn’t talk.

OK this is finny…I never knew cheta has a temper.

“am sorry…cheta look at me”I said.
*this is my work place and you mustn’t be seen around me” she said and pointed a warning fingers at me.

God am dead😢.

she didn’t talk again,she left.
I clicked my tongue watching those ass swayed…sweet😍.
she has really grown. Even in that unattractive maid cloth, something attractive is showing.

how is Rita anyways?? I miss that little kid.
i rushed down stairs only to see Eric and Kelly in the leaving room.
Eric already took a wine bottle while Kelly increased the ac level..

where’s Obi????…
finally,I saw him coming out from the gym room.I smiled.
what was I thinking? that he will be somewhere around cheta!.

I prepared all the meal..
I was extra careful while preparing Obi’s meal…I don’t know why I was just careful.

finally,I was done.
I set the dinning and left for the living room.
“dinner is set”I announced to Eric lowly.He nodded and chewer in the bubble gum quietly.
“do you still want anything else before I leave?”I asked.
“no we are fine”Kelly said and winked at me.
“okay…..good night then”I said and went to my room.
I took off the maid uniform and took my night bath.I came out in a neat towel and search for a cloth to wear home.
I searched the clothes we bought today and brought out the black long gown. I got dressed in it and pack my bag and books.

what else????. .
I didn’t pick anything.I left.

“sister in law should I drop you”Kelly said.I smiled.
“no sir,don’t worry”I said.
Eric stood up with his car key…

I laughed jokingly.
sir its not far,no need.

“are you sure?”he asked.
I nodded and left.I wanted them to drop me cos the estate is not that good at night especially my area….
but I don’t like saying yes to men’s request.

I walked down… no taxi! no cab!!
I treked down in full spirit….
I got to the main road and walked down… then I came across my fathers estate,
the one he built single handedly.

after obi’s mansion in that estate his house should be the next biggest.
I shook my head at the huge house.. then a car approached.
I shifted back to hide somewhere,I confirmed it to be my father!!.

I moved out when the car drove in and hastily walked down.
just one more turning,I will get to my house street.

I felt light from the back.
light coming from a car……although I didn’t turned.
the car slowed down when it got to my level on the road.

“Cheta!! I heard and I finally looked to see the three cars.
a military car was at the front,
Obi’s car at the middle,
another military car at the back..

why is Obi?? I don’t understand?.

“come in,I will drop you”he said.
“no need…. am almost—
I can’t lie.I sighed and turned to enter his car…

the car zoomed off…
was he going out on his own or he just wanted to drop me???

I glanced at him when he picked his cars.He looked tired.
his manager have to know that Obi is human too..

he dropped the call.I watched his hands on the steering,the place he wore the royal amulet..his hand was cute…

“I will drop here, thank you sir”I said and hastily got ready to move out.
He moved me back by my hand gently.

I felt butterflies as he brushed softly along the sides of my waists.
“sirr” I said.
“ma’am”he replied and looked in my face quietly.
“I’m at my house”I pointed.
“I know…but I want to tell you something”he said as he chewer in quietly.
I didn’t have the opportunity to look at him fully….
his hair was pretty,he tied it up with a bracelet then wedge the base with a black hair band.
he looked at me in a different way, my heart heated up.

why is he looking at me this way? is it because I look classic in this new cloth???

he suddenly took my hand and pressed it softly.
what’s the meaning of that sign anyways???

“I don’t know if I can talk but I really hope you understand what I want” he said as he took my hand tenderly.
his face leaned forward..
my eyes widened as he moved closer to my lips…

“I want you to be my girlfriend and wife in advance,will you?? do you feel the same way as I feel?? he asked in a pout.He then took his cute lips in his mouth.

I hastily closed my eyes as I felt his breath closer to me.
my heart was beating fast.
two minutes passed,I didn’t say anything.

he moved his cute face forward.
“will you say yes?”he asked..
I become steady by force.

he took my right hand and kissed the back of my palm….I felt the wind that blew threw the car window.
why is everywhere becoming cold anyways???
soon it started raining.

“what do you have to say? I really want to hear it”Obi said..
I looked so lost.. what’s happening here feels so sweet and unreal.

he moved close this time..

“will you give me an answer or I should forget about it”he whispered in a cute smile.His dimples tightened handsomely.

I got nervous.I can’t believe my dear for him.

“He took my second hand…I withdraw instantly. One day,what IG he denies me too like Dominic denied our friendship.

“Its fine if you still want to think about it”He said.I nodded and hastily turned to the door.
he held me back by my hand,it feels sweet each time he touches me.

“can I get a kiss?”Obi asked.
“hunnn”….”sir I will think about it”.
he held me by my hand and brushed the other ringed hand to my waist.

I didn’t agree to give him my first kiss,did I…
I felt sweetness everywhere in my body when he brushed his fingers deeper.He cupped my face and looked in it with so much care.
I also looked back,
I met his real eye color…he wasn’t putting on contact lens.

Jeezzz his nose pressed my cheeks.
our lips was almost touching…
jeezzz I shaked..he ended up kissing my cheeks.He held me and pecked my cheeks tightly.

why am I feeling like this..
he brushed the hand to my back, I slowly touched where his hand hold on my waist..
he tried kissing me again…I shaked intentionally and allowed him kiss my second cheek.

“cheta….I love you….I swear am not planning on using and dumping you” he said when be saw my nervousness.
I quickly went out of the car.
I held my chest till I got into our compound then my room.

Jesus!!! I dropped my bag first.
thank goodness grandma wasn’t at home.Rita came in.
she smiled like a good dream.
why is she smiling???.

I entered the bathroom and bath again….
Obi asked me out!! jezzz cheta don’t dream that,don’t imagine.

I wore a signlet and a short then I tied a wrapper..
Rita sat in front of my mirror while I laid on the bed.

“Rita….Obi asked me out,what should I say”I asked.
she dropped the headtie she was tieing.

“when???” she said….
“today”I said.

“I told him I will tell him answer soon” I said.

I moved back in shock.

“why did you scream”I said.
“should I tell you one bitter truth”Rita asked
I moved my eyes in a roll.

“what bitter truth??*I said curiously.

“the bitter truth is that our dead mother will curse you in her grave if you tell him “NO”.If you had said “Yes” immediately I swear mama go dey happy in her grave”Rita said.

I sighed.
“am still thinking about it….goodnight” I said.

“hunnnn cheta…have you forgotten am not going to school because of money! call him and tell him “yes” now…at least this was what I always wanted” rita said.

I rolled on my bed….I ignored her.
Rita took something from my bag and went out.

where’s my phone anyways???.
I checked my bag….it wasn’t there.
jeeezzzz I russhed out immediately to the backyard.

“Hello,this is Rita…chetachi‘s sister”

“am I speaking to Obi”.

waaaaaatttt!!! I looked around and finally saw her making calls with my phone.

“good,chetachi said she is too shy to face you so she sent me to tell you that she have finally agreed to be your—

I hijacked the phone from her.
“girlfriiiiiiiiieeeennndddd” she screamed before I could end the call.
