” if you’re stupid then you need to start reading books. You’re lucky this time I will be sparing you,you won’t be lucky another time” Rema whispered and walked into his car.

Charles lost control of words in the moment, the rema he knew was very tender,always tries to avoid trouble,the blind rema…..
his hands fisted tightly in the dark as he sees this new shade of rema.

” I’m not here to joke rema” Charles barked,his voice pitched that rema had to whyne down the window of his car.
” whatever things that happens in the palace should be your business,not mine” he stated clearly.

” (scoffs) nv’s contract….I heard it was awarded to you and you rejected the offer” Charles said,trying not to sound desperate.

” and is that your business?” Rema asked,icily without glancing up.
” (scoffs) I just have to let you know that I spent so much to be awarded that contract?…

” ohh and it didn’t end up getting awarded to you..that’s pretty bad but do you actually have to spend money to be awarded contracts,why don’t you let your work and reputation speaks for you. You don’t need that charles” Rema said.

” what I don’t need now is your stupid word of sermon!” Charles blurted out.
” okay…so did you came all the way to tell me you spent a lot on a contract and it wasn’t awarded to you in the end ? or you want me to help you carry out the task father gave to you but your pride won’t allow you to beg me? and it looks like you’re going to a party after leaving here” Rema said scanning Charles wear.
He was wearing an expensive looking tuxedo with bright colours.

” whatever! that contract I want it”
” then go and work harder! rema taunted.
” well now that you’ve rejected it,am sure it will be awarded to me”

” then you should go and wait till it’s awarded to you” rema replied.
” I wanted you to know of my intention so you won’t go back on your words to sign the contract”

” well,I can’t do that and I will advise you not to sign the contract as well. It’s irrational except you want to put yourself in trouble” Rema advised. Charles was his brother even though he has broken ties with the Jewel’s,he wouldn’t allow the feud between them make him watch Charles get himself in big mess.

” save your advice for later,am taking the contract” Charles said.
” your choice” rema replied and ignited his car

” I still can’t underestimate you this LITTLE DEMON I know what you want and you won’t get what you want” Charles mocked and walked away with his batiloon.
Rema’s hand tightened on the steering at the mention of little demon….his eyeballs was in despair for minutes…

right from his childhood,king jewel calls him that. ”little devil” or ”little demon”….
he had the worst childhood ever. his paste, his experience,his memories and his nightmares are the demons he need to fight..

It took another long hour before he started driving. He would look out to the window for a quick glance and slowly the look of despair faded in his eyes.

Hours later,he arrived..
Rema walked out,the lights were off and despite that,the beauty of his mansion was beautiful beyond description to light up the darkness…
everywhere in the compound glittered.

A lots of guards rushed out as well as women in white check uniform.

They kept forming a single line and bowing to rema and he remembered he had warned them severally to quit the bowing attitude.

” my prince,you look moody” a girl said as she took the briefcase from rema.
” I am not your prince!!” rema imagined yelling.
” you know my name right?” he asked.
the maid nodded with little fear.
” Good. call me that” rema replied.

The girl nodded,she was the head maids daughter.
” I will not listen to you,I will always call you My prince” she said boldly.
” why,won’t you listen to me?” rema asked.

” because my mother always told me,we can always change who we are but we can never change the blood we have…so your blood, your royal blood can never change. Either you like it or not,you’re a royal and a royal you shall be” the little girl said.
Rema was surprised,it was coming out from a little girl…

” each time I call you my prince,you will answer me right?” she asked..
just then,the head maid rushed out.
” Sophia!!! I…I…Rema am sorry am very sorry she’s out of her senses she doesn’t know…”
” it’s okay Mrs Cassandra” rema replied calmly

” keep to my promise” Sophia shouted as her mother dragged her along.
Rema was still surprised, he looked away then ran up the stairs while brushing his fingers into his hair.

” you had a stressful day already” Tom uttered and handed rema a neat bottle water..
” thank you” he collected it and drank from the can. Just then nkem entered the slivery built living room with the briefcase from the car.

Stanley also walked in.
” you guys need to be careful from nowards” rema said and walked up the stairs.
They nodded except Tom.
” and…Chidinma will be coming here tomorrow, nkem help me pick her up” rema concluded and walked into his room.

Stanley suddenly remember the Chidinma Nora talked about. could it be her?.
Tom wandered in silence as they take care of the money in the briefcase.
” 50% is going to the orphanage” nkem reminded.
” yeah,I know…Soo who’s Chidinma? how’s she related to rema?” Stanley asked.
” you will meet her when she comes around” nkem replied.
soon they were done, they dismissed.

Tom was returning to the quarters when his phone suddenly rang,it was Charles. He picked up immediately.
” Am sorry prince Charles,I couldn’t pick your calls since morning…Rema had so many schedule today so there wasn’t chance”..

” whatever! how about the nv contract? have you found the file or the flash?”Charles asked.
” hmmm have not gotten the chances” Tom replied, since rema trusted all his guards enough to enter his safe.

” good,I will hang up now” Charles replied.
” hmm actually Nkem is going to pick Chidinma tomorrow” he added..
” what time?
” I really don’t know” Tom said and dropped the call immediately he sensed movements around him..

Nonso’s excitement was out of the word,he still can’t believe rema said Chidinma can bring him along..
All through the night,he couldn’t sleep as he was busy thinking how his house will look like, the colour…the interiors and everything.

It should be so beautiful! he had thought but on the other hand he remembers that rema isn’t the type that shows off,so he still can’t be sure of what the place will look like.

” so when are we going to return?” Nonso asked for the uptenth time.
” Sunday,you’re going to school on monday” Chidinma replied.
” we are on holiday..mom is going to be back next two weeks, we can spend close to a week there right?” he asked.
” dream on” Chidinma replied,she carefully selected her clothes. Just a two days cloth.
She locked the bag and checked her reflection in the mirror…she has never dressed to impress and she wondered why she want to look more beautiful today.

She changed her dress countless times, the ones she wore it’s either her hips pushed it up or it’s either she felt it was too fitting.
Finally she settled for a jean trouser and a perfect long sleeve too.

” are you done?” nonso knocked on her door.
” come in” she said.
” how does this cloth looks?” she asked.
” beautiful. you’re beautiful in whatever thing you were” Nonso replied,his sister really took after their mother.
” are you sure? I feel like here is too wide” Chidinma placed her hand on her hips,she is Soo thick in between,her waist was slim and narrow,giving her the perfect figure 8 shape..
her breast were neither small nor big…
it spelt the world sexy.

” I feel like it’s exposed,I should change again right?” Chidinma asked…
” it’s not expose,it’s because it’s wide that’s why you feel like that” Nonso said.
” if you say soo” Chidinma replied and put the sandals down. She fitted her legs into it, nonso squat and hooked it for her, nonso rised and picked the white band,he fixed it for her.

” are you forgetting something?” he asked.
” yes,my atm card” she replied and picked it, she kept some cash in her bag as well.

They exit the room and just then nonso got a call from an unknown number.He actually knew who it was,it was the stranger.

” do not ever in your life call me again! Nonso yelled,pissed.
” come outside now,bring your sister too” the man ordered calmly.

” you must be insane to think I will follow you like I did the other day” Nonso said regretting he followed the man the other day.
” mind your words boy,it won’t take me a second to break your gate” the man threatened.

” and it won’t take me a seconds to call the cops,stay clear of me and my sister! nonso gritted.
” we will if she stops following rema” the man said.
” well….she won’t stop following rema! it’s her choice to choose who ever she wants to follow” Nonso said.

” whatever! Boss Charles said you should come meet him one more time and confirm your final answer or you want him to carry out his threat in the hard way?”

” I am not going to convince my sister,I won’t even suggest it to her but tell your boss, a billionaire prince who behaves like a frustrated poor man if he dare hurts my sister…

” you will call the police?” the man mocked.
” like I said earlier,you’re so foolish and your boss is a coward,hiding under the shadow of his wealth,he can’t even get a woman…so despicable”

” whaaat!! the man looked pissed.
” don’t take me for a fool because I followed you the last time,I did that cos you mentioned my sister and that should tell you the lenght I can go for her. If you hurt her like I said earlier then be prepared for me” Nonso said,he doesn’t even know where he got the courage from,the words kept flowing from his mouth..

” if you’re wise enough,you should relay my message to your boss” he added and hung up. he felt relieved,he still can’t be sure..
that man must be waiting outside their gate.

” Are you ready?” Chidinma came out,she looked over to the bag nonso packed.
” are you going to stay there forever?” she chuckled at the sight of the stuffed traveling bag.

He smiled absentmindedly..he needs to put up a act to stop them from going,until the driver rema sent called.

” yes,I’m ready” nonso replied,he hardly took two steps when he faked stomach ache..
It was so real,Chidinma fell for it immediately.
” it hurts…”

Chidinma held him well.
” my stomach….” nonso screamed like real.
” I didn’t…”.
Chidinma left him and rushed to the kitchen, meanwhile nonso opened chidinma’s purse and took her phone..

he searched for rema’s number,he even wondered what it was saved with…ohh yes, he remembered. ”Bear Knight”.

he heard footsteps of Chidinma coming,he dropped the phone in an instant.

” how’s your stomach now?” dinma asked and dropped the medicine.
” it’s okay,I just needed rest before we go. We should at least wait before the driver calls” Nonso suggested. Chidinma agreed in an instant.

” then can I play games with your phone,mine is out of subscription” he lied.
” sure” Chidinma nodded.

💌 hi,it’s me Nonso. Some strange men are actually in front of our gate..luckily I locked it yesternight so they can’t force their way in in broad day light” Nonso sent.

Rema replied instantly.
💌 and is my girlfriend alright? and you?

💌 Yes,have been protecting her before she met you.

Rema smiled at the reply,a spy is actually in his house..

Rema was surprised. Nonso is just seventeen how can charles threaten a teenager..
He dropped the phone and walked out of his penthouse,nkem was about leaving the garage.
He made a quick call immediately.

” nkem don’t worry,I will go pick them by myself!” he said and beeped the car.

As soon as Rema drove out of the mansion, his phone rang,it was Charles.
” Rema!!!!! how dare you!! the goods I spent millions over how could they be seized in an instant…!!!! rema it’s your handwork right??
Charles lamented.

” If not me,who else” rema replied,he took his lips in seductively.

”Rema!!! Charles shouted, he squeezed the wine glass in his hands.

” it’s a win-win situation,didn’t you threaten my woman earlier…this is your last chance, if I smell your presence around her nor her brother, your warehouse will pay for it” Rema replied,he hung up immediately.
